I originally posted this in the Bugs thread, but realized that it was for bugs that did not require Fatshark support, but I think this is something I require support on.
I just beat “The Insane” penance for the “True Survivor” title, which was a rank 39 mission (HL-70-04 Carnival). After the mission, I looked at my title, it was still locked, so I went to claim the penance to obtain the title, but there was no penance to claim. However, it did show as completed as I had checked it in my list. After I waited a few minutes, it still wouldn’t let me claim it. I tried going into the Meat Grinder to reload the Mourningstar, but it still wasn’t claimable. I thought relogging might have fixed it, but when I relogged, then it wasn’t even showing as completed. I’m absolutely devastated, I REALLY don’t want to do that again. It took a lot of time and effort to find a team, and more effort to beat it (we even had an error where one of our missions disconnected all of us and we had to try it again).
I thought this was odd so I took some screenshots before and after it happened. The screenshots below show me with the penance completed - then showing there wasn’t anything to accept - and then that the penance wasn’t completed (which is where it now stands, still, after a few hours). There was no game crash or anything, just simply - I did a really hard penance, was rewarded, then subsequently, wasn’t — Is there any way that I can be rightfully awarded this?

Please could you try completing another mission? Sometimes this is needed to unlock the rewards correctly, something about a connection needing to be re-established.
I have completed other missions since I re-logged, but I still did not receive the reward. Other penances unlock perfectly fine. The last one I unlocked after I didn’t receive my reward for “The Insane” was the level 3 bestiary for Reapers.
Is there any way that “The Insane” penance can be marked as completed for me, without me having to redo all of the work I put into getting that this weekend? My fear is that I’ll go through all that trouble again (finding a team, hours of attempts on Havoc 35+, etc) only to subsequently not be rewarded again, and me having to make another post about it.

I want to make a slight clarification on my above post, the mission was specifically “Mercantile HL-70-04 (Habzone HL-70-04, “The Carnival”)” on Havoc 39, - the one where the big roof opens up at the end and you fight off waves of enemies as you wait for it to open.
I have followed your recommendation and have been steadily playing missions before and after the week rolled over. I’ve done a new Havoc 38 mission this week successfully (didn’t get “The Insane” penance though this time as someone went down), and unlocked “Maelstrom Survivor (3)” and another Bestiary penance (can’t remember which one it was). I’ve also done several other non-Havoc missions (Maelstrom, Damnation, etc), but still not seeing “The Insane” unlocked since my completion of it last Saturday.
I really don’t want to spend more days/weeks to re-unlock this as I’ve already put in the time. I’m lucky the paranoid side of me was able to capture some proof to show that it actually was completed at some point, but I’m not sure what else I can provide myself to further prove it. I do have a screenshot of the team members I did the penance with if that will help, and I’m hopeful there is some data in the Darktide database that shows the mission “Mercantile HL-70-04 (Habzone HL-70-04, “The Carnival”)” (Rank 39 Havoc) completed with 0 downs on last Saturday for me, and who was in it.
I’m still playing regardless, but like I said - it’s not easy, and it extremely disheartening to put a ton of hard work into something this difficult and then have your hard work just whisked out from under you immediately after - or any time after really.

Hello, by some stretch of a miracle I ended up truly getting it this time (claimable title). I still stand by everything though, it isn’t easy, and I see lots of other folks appearing to be robbed of their Havoc 40 and possibly other achievements that they worked hard for. I hope the bugs/issues with Havoc do get fixed, because in my opinion it is a great game mode, but it becomes less fun when you aren’t rewarded for your efforts.
I shared the advice you shared with me (i.e. if not claimable, maybe try to do another mission to unlock rewards correctly) to ensure my team did get the title as well.

PS: Would there have been anything that you could’ve done, or would I have had to go for it again anyway? If you could have done something, what would be solid proof that it did register? I feel my screenshots above can be ambiguous because it doesn’t show my account (you can really only match up the penance count with my account I suppose).
Thanks for the update, I’m pleased it came through. Unfortunately, we’re not able to manually complete Penances for players - all we can do is advise based on what’s worked in the past.
