The game crashes after the map finishes loading

Issue Description:
During the gameplay, I am able to play the game in single-player mode without any issues. However, whenever I join someone else’s game or host a room for others to join, the game crashes immediately after the map finishes loading. I suspect that the issue may be related to EAC (Easy Anti-Cheat). I have already tried verifying the game integrity through Steam and also attempted to delete all files and folders related to EAC before verifying the game integrity again, but none of these steps have resolved the issue. Disabling mods also did not have any effect. The game was running smoothly in the days leading up to this problem, even earlier today. It’s frustrating to encounter such an issue, especially after recently purchasing all DLCs.
Just now, I entered a game room hosted by someone else to take a screenshot of the Shrill Mourning map. Surprisingly, this time there was no crash. I’m completely puzzled by this sudden change in behavior.
When I exited the game, I received a Game Security Violation Detected (#0000000E) prompt from EAC. In any case, I will try closing Windows Defender to see if it makes any difference.

Hi @ValkyrUmbra,

Sorry to hear this.

From what you describe (Game Security Violation Detected (#0000000E)) there appears to be a conflict with EAC going on. Can you please try disabling any RGB controller software if you use any and see if this helps?

I can also recommend performing a Selective Startup, which can help diagnose whether a background application is resulting in the issue. This can be performed by:

  1. Press the Windows key
  2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
  4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
  5. Reboot your PC
  6. Launch Vermintide 2 as normal

If the issue no longer persists after having performed the Selective Startup, you will need to re-enable each of your usual background applications one-by-one to determine which is interfering with Easy Anti-Cheat.

Please let me know how this goes!
