So now my own fault that FatShark made this RNG BS, after telling players they were steering away from it, despite addressing crafting twice? And because I am calling out this BS and your insanity I am now a self-righteous keyboard warrior…
Wahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!
… Aaaaaaaaaaand breath.
Hahahahahahahahahahaha
Never read something so obscenely wrong and funny at the same time…
I should admit my own mistakes… When I don;t work for fat shark and never made this abhorrent RNG crafting mechainic…
Jakal hates everyone here and is honest about it, and his beef is at core because the problems with DT drown out him wanting to talk about the lore or fun moments.
Phage is just desperate for attention and probably just jamming stuff into ChatGPT prompts in an effort to troll everyone into submission.
I think people just have different opinions and people get a bit hung up on it. Iv noticed in life, that people generally dislike being disagreed with. It seems to bring out their irritable side.
Shame really, as its the number one cause of derailed conversations on the internet.
Really? You’d think that’d come up all the time. We get ‘unstoppable fool vs immovable moron’ arguments in the Crafting Memorial on the daily it feels like.
Resulting in 10’s of hours of gameplay wasted on spending millions of dockets buying junk items, with the odd good one, then you wasting 10,000’s of resources on upgrading to get junk perks and blessing combinations, that even with choosing 2/4 can’t make them good…
It is flat out debating dishonestly and wilfully lying. If you have to do this in order to make your point, then you shouldn’t be giving your opinion in the first place.
How can you argue a point if your starting position is based on a wilful falsehood?
So you think that paying $$$ for things, based on information given such as crafting in DT, then to get the complete opposite of what they say…
Then on top of that the abhorrent practices in the $$$ shop into pressuring players in parting with their money…
Is something to laugh at?
Seriously?
You think me wasting my money time after time from various games to various studio’s saying one thing to get sells, then giving the players something else on release or planned changes down the line to include the very things they said they wouldn’t.
It’s commentary that people on the internet have difficulty accepting differences of opinion without attacking each other or derailing threads. Not commentary on you having grievances with the game.
If you notice; it was a direct reply to Munky’s post.
It’s not the difference of opinions that is the problem. It’s when one side starts using lies, falsehoods and making claims that other person said that is the real problem.
In all forums on all subjects it’s these three things that do the damage and derail threads. It’s almost never the opinion, IMO.
Disagreeing leads to the problem, which is the personal attacks.
Its like the old trope of all arguments in the household start with something small end end up not being about that thing at all. The amount of relationships and friendships ended over “dishes” is sadly all too many.
Almost tempted not to wade in here based on the overwhelming amount of salt, tangential points, and incessant repeat calls of “Fatshark sucks/Darktide sucks/Allofyouguys suck but somehow I don’t” that usually circles the drain here.
But, that collection of emotive flotsam is important to call out, not because it annoys me (although it does) and not because there haven’t also been extensive efforts by this community to do something positive (looking at you, Aryslav, I love the new megathread!) but because this morass of complaints is a direct result of Fatshark’s poor communication.
Fatshark. Baby. Bubbeluh. Look, honey, you keep doing this to yourself and you gotta stop.
People do try and do positive stuff, and I really do need to check out the Morningstar thread.
There’s a pretty straightforward trajectory of forum ‘discourse’ - it has the ‘emotive flotsam’ as the baseline of negativity, but whenever Fatshark communicates, it turns pretty generally positive…for about 2 weeks. You get people posting new theories, some actual discussion, etc, but when Fatshark fails to give people anything, it ends up inevitably returning to the baseline.
Whilst I don’t think FatShark need to cater to gamers and their whims. Seeing as I feel developers don’t need to pander to people who think they are more important than they actually are.
They still need let us know what they are working every now and then, especially when their game has been broken from the start, and despite improvements, still broken and unfinished some 18/19 months later.
Just quick statement of something like " We are working on the crafting system, we will update you when it is closer to time, happy heretic smashing, rejects." for example, would work wonders.
they’ve never said they were working on the crafting system. you’re just damanding something from them and trying to make it sound inoffensive and assumed.
I think you misunderstand… That was just an example of x, y, or z.
Just a quick communication to tell us what they are working on, the sort of thing they should be doing. I just used the RNG as an example as it such hot topic.
they did, there’s an itemization update coming, they did what you said they should do and the forums instantly lost their mind. also implying the game is broken is just poor taste. it works fine, missions run smoothly, nothing’s broken.
