The Forever Winter - Anyone Heard of This

Glad it helped :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: sometimes old threads still do their job. Enjoy!

As another fan of The Forever Winter, I would hold out.

The art style is fantastic, and the concept/idea, but the game will take years to become truly playable.

All that is available right now is a game that looks really cool, but the actual systems; enemy AI, player movement, and performance, are either bad, not working correctly or utterly broken.

You can fall through the maps or get stuck in textures really easy.

At this point, TFW is more of a pre-alpha game than something intended for mass consumption.

I always jump in and test new patches, but unless you’re super hyper for it, I’d wait a year or two (maybe three) and then check back in.

I am hopeful that Fundog will get the game in a good state eventually, but right now Arc Raiders have a much better gameplay loop and is feature complete.

Thanks for the extra info varlet

The most important thing to me is that I know this is actually real and can keep a close eye on it at the very least

Glad to be of service!

I love The Forever Winter.

It has an awesome art style and design inspired by 80s anime war horror, with giant mechs, tanks glas in strewn up dead human carcasses and etc.

However, I want to give everyone realistic expectations about the game’s current state versus its potential future.
