They do on the launcher, but a lot of people except the same handful as far as I last saw aren’t creating 'Tide content at the moment. I know our live marketer LOVES featuring new faces on the launcher; so create cool stuff, you can possibly get a launcher feature!
I mean… I ain’t complaining. More warm bodies to throw at the Cata meat grinder.
Nice game, nicer thread. Nice seeing some old VT2 folk still around. Definitely sign me up for the wall as with the last news I’ve read I’m not sure if my 1,000+ hours on blessing grinding will be disrespected or not yet.
And I almost thought about spending money on cosmetics too. Everyone has a moment of weakness at some point. We’ll see, cheers.
You mean that thing Fatshark has repeatedly done with Darktide since launch? “We pushed our launch date to be immediately after Beta so that we couldn’t possibly implement feedback routinely submitted throughout beta in time for the launch of the game… and we’re going on vacation immediately after launching so we can ignore your feedback about not implementing feedback!”
I’m only just seeing this now thanks to @Wahid
Thank you <3
If you get the community hero title then I want either atoma gatekeeper or sweatlord karker title.
Me either, I hadn’t played in awhile and ran a few maps it was so refreshing and I love the Keep!
Ever since the first year anniversary, I’ve been calling it “year two of the alpha”.
With the itemization rework, we might finally hit the beta stage!
I also love the fact that the reviews tanked because of the delay. You know, something which is only ever a good thing and yet most people simply do not get it.
Would really like clarification. If T1/T2 blessings should be extracted to count towards mastery.
Some classes share same weapon type - Hope don’t have to mastery same weapon type from one class to the next.
Indication of materials cost to fully expertise max a weapon, best case to worth case of upgrade caps.
Then again even if stated now - Would be subject to change. So at the moment just hoard materials.
No thoughts only angry not here now.
But in all seriousness I can kind of understand where they’re coming from. The Crafting System we’re getting sounds more like what we were promised. The one we have currently I always thought was a bandaid solution at best. So here’s hoping that this finally brings the game in an actual Beta phase. We’re starving for actual content.
Here’s my suggestion for Crafting Reworks for this thread.
The upcoming itemization updates look good.
But wouldn’t it be nice if we chould craft the blessings? Depending on what you put into the blessing, the more it costs? Higher numbers mean more cost. So imagine, having a voidstrike stick with +2 Surge- leaving you with three projectiles… Or more stacks of fire, or fiddling with the percentages on stat buffing blessings. Being able to modify and create our own in changing how the weapon fundamentally operates, would be really cool. I would love to have a run and gun for purgatus that gives increased speed, or a run and gun that allows you to channel while sprinting.
RNG shifting
Currently:
- 1st step. Mass buy from armory until get 370-380. Finally get it. 1st RNG.
- 2nd step. Crafting station. Reroll. If brick, repeat above. 2nd RNG.
After game update in future:
-
1st step. Mass buy from armory until get 370-380. Finally get that 370-380. But repeat if upgrade cap too low. That means 370-380 can still be bricked in upgrade cap sense. That is 2x RNG there.
-
2nd step. No crafting restriction. No RNG.
They just put 2x RNG into 1st step to avoid 2nd step of running back and forth between armory and crafting station.
“No more bricks” - It is still there in that a 380 weapon can have varying upgrade cap.
When they use the words “interesting enough” - It means if you are happy with upgrade cap to commit to spending materials to get it to the max cap.
I know there’s not many details yet on the new system but so far it doesn’t seem to be much of an improvement. Idk if this is going to work out or not.
It’s just an over complicated BS system, by developers trying to be cleaver and making a pigs ear of it.
Why can’t they just keep it simple?
Should all start with the same base stats, you collect resources, you then get upgrade everything how you see fit, to the maximum number of times you can upgrade.
Then you do the same with blessings, and how you want to upgrade them, merge them etc etc.
It really isn’t that hard to make a crafting system that doesn’t have any BS in it.
If I still have to go out and fight RNG just to get a weapon that is worth upgrading, the game can F off, along with all the dumbass developers that try to re-invent the wheel.
It depends how much you can “enhance a weapon”. In the 3 judges article they mentioned it being possible to use the starting weapon all the way to the end. It sounds like to me every single weapon can be upgraded to a “380” base or whatever the new max will be. It’s just the stat distribution is set in stone. So you won’t have freedom over where the final resting spots of the bars will be. BUT those will be previewed, shown to you before you buy a weapon. So if you’re looking at a 360 base, you would see what the stats would look like if you enhanced it to a 380.
Ha I can see it now!
The fact that you can upgrade to max stats with a say lowly 300 weapon - Ultimately just means you have to spend more in plasteel compared to a say a 360 weapon to expertise to max.
Which loops back to desiring 370-380 initially to save plasteel later. As would make sense to spend the dockets before the plasteel.
Do me a favour @brosgw
I know you don’t play much/stopped playing DT. Don’t disappear from forum.
Let me know whether it is in a year, 2 years etc what game and game forum you moved to and I’ll follow. Just felt that battle over 2 years for unlock took so long, only for another time based catch to take over.
Yep exactly as I see it!
I mean, this is the first time I have ever gone on a forum. I even joined here before making a Reddit account. Pretty apathetic to most social media.
Maybe if there’s another weird combination of a game I have a love/hate relationship with I will be compelled once more… I really hope not
But fighting the fights IN GAME together would be a nice change of pace!
That graph just highlights the fact that many gamers need to grow the hell up, if that is down to crafting not being ready. It’s pathetic and sad.
Maybe we should send gamers to the front line in Ukraine, to support the Ukrainians, then maybe they might have something really to cry about, rather than a delay to a part of an update.
Stop flagging my posts, try arguing my points, rather than abusing flagging system… It’s pathetic how petty and sad people are who can’t debate points anymore…
@SkipRat This is not your first offense and after I removed your politicized comment, you intentionally reposted it, so your posting privileges have been revoked indefinitely. Be civil or don’t post here.
I’m one of them. I’ve got Deep Rock Galactic too, though!
Edit: Vermintide 2’s also an option but it’s currently uninstalled.
