The atmosphere of reddit is much better than FS forums

All I can see here is endless complain for game balance by few people. But in Reddit I can see many interesting discussion about gameplay and daily encounters. They seem more like true game enjoyers.

enjoying the op weapons to mask their lack of skill, which isn’t surprising from the “masses”

that and the forced upon “feel good pill” everyone has to guzzle rather gives the

impression.

I mean makes sense people dislike being called :poop: at the game when a talent or two combined with an dueling sword give total bliss

besides, post braindead stuff and get up voted to high heavens, post good gameplay you get thumbs down cause jealous people can’t stand to be shown something better than they can produce I guess

These forums have always been a mix of moaning, groaning, but rays of light making jokes and sharing a bit of sunshine. @MadMartigan is here I see (o7) - Still there @MunKy ? @Flawless still doing the rounds?

There’s also like maybe 100 regulars on this forum, whereas the subreddit has a much larger user base.

Reddit: groups of three chimps who would rather get eaten by a predator than hurt “the vibe” by speaking up. Also the same place where just a few months after being called “pearl clutchers” were back to kissing the feet of moderators.

Forums: a bunch of chimps, mostly idiots & twits with a sprinkling of those who manage(d) to find something they actually liked about Darktide and want(ed) to see it not become a yet another cash-grab dumpsterfire. Even when it means telling the powers-that-be to get their heads out of their collective backsides and look around.

Reddit and FS forums mostly share the same ideas honestly, forums just has a smaller community. And Reddit has more memes.

Pretty much idk what op is trying to imply, reddit is the same base just more casual and there is more ppl there if anything steam forums is largely different from both reddit and forums imo.

You can never see so much complaining about balance in one page of reddit.

Why can’t I visit both? Even in youtube DT builds videos. There are no so many players moaning. Admire it, some users of this forum make here into a true 40K cesspool battleground.

All that because people here are disagreeing with you? :sob::folded_hands:t3:

“Guys! Please stop caring about Darktide enough to criticise its currently abysmal balancing! I don’t care that its current state of balance is bad enough to literally rot its very foundations! You guys should just be mindless consumers! I don’t like you people because you disagree with me more than people on Reddit do!”

Like, I’m so sorry for saying what needs to be said? What do you want from me?

Our only fault is CARING TOO MUCH :sad_but_relieved_face:

I will acknowledge that this place do get a bit too negative sometimes (and that includes me aswell negativity is contagious) but on the other hand I do believe that it comes from love of the game at the end of the day.

If there wasn’t something special about Darktide no one would care to even discuss things like balance. It’s sad to see that the game is slowly losing its identity and intricate melee combat system to accommodate a few egregious outliers in the weapon/talent pool. Tide games have a beloved combat system and feel that you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere else which I think is why long time players care so much; there’s so few alternatives to scratch the itch.
