Rapax:
-Cloak of Pain:
The 2nd charge no longer has a guaranteed melee crit upon coming out of invis.
Also no longer crits on the ranged attack on either the first charge or the 2nd charge of invis.
-Cloak of Mist:
No longer has a guaranteed melee crit upon coming out of invis. The crits only start with the 4 secs after coming out of invis. No longer has a ranged crit for the 1st ranged attack upon coming out of invis.
-Shadostep:
No longer has a ranged crit when using the ult with a ranged attack when coming out of invis.
We apologise for the undocumented changes to Kerillian’s (Shade) ‘Cloak of Mist’ and ‘Cloak of Pain’ in the Chaos Wastes release.
These Talents were changed so that they could accurately reflect their descriptions, as the previous behaviours were unintended. We understand this caused a lot of confusion, and needed to be specified in the patch notes. We removed:
The guaranteed critical strike during stealth from ‘Cloak of Mist’
The guaranteed critical strike during the secondary phase of stealth from ‘Cloak of Pain’
We’re keeping a close eye on the reaction to these changes and are approaching this with an open mind, so please be sure to share your thoughts.

This is odd: Shade’s ulti says nothing about extra damage, but it’s still there. You should have removed that as well to reflect the description. If you want to nerf the ‘Cloak of Mist’, just say it. Now it feels like you couldn’t fix it, found the comment about matching the description and used it as emergency explanation.

This have no sense as the description of Cloak of mist just say that it won’t do the extra dmg, but does not talk about the guaranteed critical, so indeed it should do the guaranteed critical
That’s a shame, Cloak of Mist was the only build I really enjoyed on Shade. Without the crit out of stealth the gameplay just feels very awkward, plus it doesn’t seem like it really reduces the power level of Cloak of Mist if that was the intention.
The guaranteed crit added a much needed dimension to her gameplay IMO, allowing for interactions with ranged traits and adding more decision making to how you use it. Can’t say the class really holds that much interest for me now.

Pretty sure this topic is in response to that note in the patch notes, and though it does make sense I argue that the Cloak of Mist doesn’t feel right.
I’m ok with Cloak of Pain, as it states “Second attack does not grand damage bonus” and never should have had a crit to begin with.
