Common sense on the perspective of those critical of a specific system. Yes.
There is a lot within the sentiments of those critical of FS that don’t make much common sense, either. There is also some reasoning of those critical of FS that aren’t using logic, but an appeal to sentiment and emotion.
So yes, that would be everyone involved. Some one will fall into one of those categories regardless who you’re talking to.
Edit: And if you articulate your opinions on enough takes, you will easily fall into a misleading characterization as having the inability to do either, when instead both can be true and both are mutually exclusive

We have a discussion thread. But who cares? Let’s bash the author? Half the comments here are about how bad this dude is, figuring out each other’s relationships and the crafting system. Everyone already knows about crafting! Why the hell whine about it in a thread that isn’t about it. Yeah, the dude gave his opinion, the hell with it. Don’t get distracted or blocked, post what YOU like.
And then create your own thread called “What I don’t like about Darktide”, and then have a blast there: on the crafting system, random numbers, cosmetic patches, balance, zero content, etc.
What’s the problem?

I may have misunderstood what you were trying to say, but still. If he did that ( That’s the reason why we need moderation, which would simply clean up comments that are off-topic or reprimand if a comment is provocative or something like that), why should we look up to him and do the same?

It’s like I’ve said before, I disagreed, they got very hostile. Once I tried to leave and create my own thread which acknowledges their points, then they swarmed it. It was shut down by FS Julia due to ad hominem attacks (flagging posts in a thread will cause it to get shut down). Again, I address my experience with posters on the forum and give caution to those who wish to express their disagreements after having gone through many of their points that can be debated/objected to. After seeing that it boils down to what is and isn’t fun, or holding a grudge over something that was allegedly promised pre-launch or the semantics of the wording of a blog, they get mad and try to suppress your voice. All the while complaining of censorship while trying to lock down my threads.
Pretty ironic, no?
But yes, the point here isn’t to air out laundry, and I am posting this in an effort to end this current discussion and shift back to the topic at hand and talk about what we enjoy. Because that’s what I want.
I wanna talk about what people enjoy about the game.
You posted a thread on a public forum. You don’t have any control over, or get to dictate, what people say in it. And no one’s suppressing your voice by disagreeing with you. No one called for you to be silenced. People disagreed with you. Some did it in more cordial ways than others but honestly, who cares? You can ultimately just ignore it, like any number of stoic philosophers would tell you. It still just boils down to people disagreeing with you and you repeatedly act like it was some unprecedented, unforgettable and monumental attack on your person. You should stop inflating it into something bigger than it was. If you want to post whatever your opinions are on whatever, that’s fine, but there will be responses and reactions, no matter what you say. If you aren’t ready to face whatever that may be, you should stop posting, or at least stop engaging with the pushback, and stop complaining about what people say, both out loud and through excessive flagging.

What first attracted you to Darktide? What was the deciding factor in forking over the cash?

It’s a toss-up between ‘story by Dan Abnett’ and ‘got into the closed beta’. I was impressed enough by the actual visceral combat to spend my $60 and the problems didn’t seem so apparent back then. I wasn’t aware of Fatshark’s rep.
The story never really materialized and was a huge disappointment for me.
The combat has been excellent and the one thing that’s kept me coming back on occasion - I wouldn’t call it totally flawless, but it very much captures the ‘feel’ of 40k, while being an excellent experience in its own right.

So, I wouldn’t be so sure that something similar wasn’t flying in his direction.
