Surge Force Staff VFX buff needs to be removed (or an option to remove in the Settings)

Fatshark you need to remove the Surge Force Staff VFX buff. It is incredibly awful to play with. For the Psyker himself but also for the teammates. You can NOT be serious about that.

Please give us the option to remove the VFX buff. It is so bad. I get motion sickness from it, it hurts my eyes, it completely removes my fun and motivation to play my favorite loadout in the entire game.

I loved the Surge staff, now I can’t use it at all without getting a headache.

WTF Fatshark, why?!

Well,
if blocking with the Force Sword makes you see nothing, at the very least have the staff be able to share that feeling with your team.

As someone with light sensitivity, this update is literally pain, the fire staff already was super bright so it hurt to look at the screen, now i can’t even use the surge staff. Fatshark can you not make me more crippled?

Like with many other flashing, bright, obscuring effects we definitely need a ‘low intensity’ option for many of them.

i like the new VFX but i truly understand your vision about.

i like your suggestion, some toggleable options like in DRG that turns off flashes in order to help for the people that suffer of epilessy ect

but also an option that includes these effects, for the people that don’t mind

I joined the fatshark forums, from the wasteland of steam forums to commentate on this matter. Psyker was my most played patch untill this recent patch bug//stealthnerfed it into the ground. Between the horrid VFX for purgatus and surge staff and the artificially slowed quelling of peril, its in a bad spot. So, kindly, stop hating psykers and revert this patch until changes are actually play-tested and community approved?

The surge staff need a VFX “buff” in the finishing effect not in the casting itself, so when the psyker close the fist the camera need a slightly more strong camera shake and maybe a few small sparks in the closing fist or in the enemies affected by the electricity (but not too bright for people with disabilities)

I think I speak for most people when I say: “Please do not needlessly obstruct my vision and by extension situational awareness.”

While you’re at it please roll back VFX changes on the Force Sword so I can see what’s in front of me.
