I’ve been playing the game for months with maxed out gear purely for fun coz I enjoy the actual gameplay (I havent gained anything new gear wise because I cant get anything better for what I already have). They can reset all my stuff if thats what they need to do to make a better progression system they ARNT doing that but I still wouldnt care if they did coz the gameplay itself is fun, also I want to go through the progression system myself not just have it all spoon fed to me on release to see how it works. I dont care coz I actually enjoy playing the game (unlike everyone here it seems)
Its gonna be alot more “play the game you’re playing anyway because you like it, get the stuff you want.” And everyone is crying? It’s a game, you’re not putting time into it to gain anything more than fun and entertainment just stop playing when it isnt fun anymore it isnt an investment you get nothing in return from any game you play and it’s not that serious.
If them adding mechanics to the game where all you have to do is play it to progress and thats an issue for you, then you dont like the game as much as you think you do and should go away and find a game you like.
I can see why fatshark never communicates with the community all you do is complain about being “forced” to play the game “oh I love this game and want it to be better but this game is so bad I cant belive I have to play it to get the stuff I want”
I’m not engaging with these forums anymore it’s all just negativity and ppl that dont play/enjoy the game giving terrible advise to the devs complaining about having to play the game? Such backwards logic.
I kinda agree on this, but ANY system is better then the one we currently have.
I feel that most people are just worried that the time that they’ve already put into this game to acquire the blessings and weapons they have is going to go away and that they have to redo it to some extent. With out further clarification on Fatsharks part these are going to be valid fears.
See that’s just the thing, for a lot of people the game is the most fun when they don’t have to worry about meeting arbitrary quotas, filling out pointless forms and making funny numbers go up.
The “real” game starts when you are free to play as you like, when you have the options to play whatever combanation of weapon and blessings that you want on whatever stage you want
I’m truely sorry for you if you have been conditioned to like the carrot and the stick.
It has been and still is a hot button issue. Until we get more communication from them, people will voice their thoughts. This is the stage where feedback of all kinds is most important. If they aren’t paying lip service about actually listening to the community, now is the time for these discussions.
I think the proposed system is better in some ways than the current one, but that is not a glowing review either. It could still be better.
Pretty much. The overarching fear rn is that their progress is going to be reset and that they’re going to be stuck grinding 10 hours every time a new weapon family is introduced.
It’s wonderful to hear from someone who has absolutely nothing else to do with their time and thus considers their expended time as valueless! It must be nice to have accomplished literally everything else in the entire world. I’d love to know what it’s like on the top of Everest, but I digress.
Not everybody is so empty and hollow as to not value their time or energy. Even ‘fun’ time previously tied to some sort of meagre accomplishment, that is subsequently taken away, will chafe and draw negative responses, purely on instinct, from the normal, balanced human being.
Improved prospects going forward is usually a difficult choice to balance thanks to our strangely evolved and highly emotional brains. It’s weird, but the context of the present weighs stronger on our psyche than possibles.
Good luck somewhere else, sincerely. Perhaps consider a few higher education courses instead of other game forums with your free time?
People are worried that they will have to grind a lot because of this.
Me personally I’m very positive about this changes, even if there will be grind you are working towards a goal that you know you will reach, as opposite of now that is all in the hands of RNG.
I think the real issue is how much people got disappointed before, and now it’s hard to trust Fatshark in doing good.
Yes they messed up astronomically at lunch and not only, but they have been steadily improving the game with each update, so let’s give them credit where is due.
wow, I’m kinda amazed that the OP managed to get so angry about some folks being concerned they might lose hard won progress.
I mean, I’m a pretty vocal member of the forum, I’ve been involved in many of the hot topics in the past year. This current devblog has been met with mostly positive vibes and some mild concern, honestly, I just don’t understand your anger right now Mister Mortal.
All in all, I get the sense folks are just offering some sensible feedback and are cautiously optimistic.
This was pretty much the same case in VT2 as well. The game gets so much nicer when you don’t need to spam chests and craft **** to get your stupid power up, and you can comfortably make reds of whatever you want, whenever you want.
I want the game I paid for to work properly, the “negativity” fatshark reaps is totally justified.
You can smile when the corpos bend you over all you want but at least let others express what they feel.
Its only words on a forum, everyone is gonna be ok.
