Personally, I agree that the core gameplay loop of Darktide, similar to VT1 and VT2, is excellent. I don’t think any other game has really achieved such…visceral feeling of pure melee carnage. However, that takes a backseat if a company making the game plays me for a fool; if they (effectively) nullify my time investment so far, they are doing just that. And that I cannot abide.

Yes, hence wishing someone bodily harm (i.e. being punched in the face) over words is stupid. Calling him names is fine, it shouldn’t win you arguments, but at least you’re threatening/inciting physical violence.

And no the new system doesn’t allow for that, stats are still gonna be randomized.
Whenever a new weapon familiy gets released you have to play with subpar weapons for however long it takes to achieve “mastery”.
A friend of mine and I have been beaten before, I was lucky enough to be built like a meathead. I do not find wishing someone something like that even smaller scale.

Perhaps you should look up the term “post-facto justification”.
If this was happening in a vacuum, and this was an isolated incident where the product had a proven track record of competency, then you might have a point.
But it’s not, it doesn’t, and you don’t.
I hate to break it to you, but sometimes an overwhelmingly negative response is justified. If you need further proof of that assertion then you need only look at the Acolyte.

I too have been jumped, but was smart enough to realize that it mightve been a setup so nothing happened to me besides a greenstick fractured pinky.
Punches dont just fall from the sky and theres always something to learn from the scenario.
I do not wish it on others, but everyone should go through it at least once.
More than 1 and a half year after release the game still runs like absolute sht.
Server disconnects once or twice per mission, unbearable UI without 50 mods, the list goes on.
At this rate its gonna take 4 years to fix the game. This is not looking good
It jus recently became worse because of update, which is a normal thing for updates.
Especially 15gbs big.
Why ya keep bringing up the college, hahaha.
