I only play Auric Expeditions/Havoc 30+. Those are the only game modes that still give a challenge to players with over 1k hours.
In these modes, there is no such thing as an “OP” weapon. Just some that do better than others.
I personally go into these matches with lesser chosen weapons that deserve buffs, because I like the extra challenge. I don’t complain about my team mates getting kills. That’s beyond pathetic.
“-This is Buzz-Kill’s first post! Let’s all welcome him to the forums!”
Buzz: “Hey, can we nerf the powersword? I just got the game yesterday and a guy with a power sword killed all the enemies and I didn’t get to kill any. Why is no one talking about nerfing the power sword? IT obviously need a nerf. I can’t believe you have never had a conversation about nerfing it… and yet I believe this is the first time it’s been suggested…”
My friend, If you will lend me your ear for one short post, I can perhaps elucidate the reasoning behind our malice player whining, and maybe even help you come away with a new appreciation for our stance regarding lowering the power of certain weapons in the game of Warhammer 40k Darktide.
When many elite enemies spawn into the game, we are excited to fight them and engage in a multitude of gameplay mechanics in climactic form. However, if one player is using the flame staff, they then have the ability to remove the majority of the enemies from the game before others are able to even see them. The other three players are then left vastly less engaged and challenged as they would have been without one person using the flame staff. Yes, there are still some enemies left to fight, but there is a large difference in the experience. We consider this difference in experience unfun, and prefer games where the flame staff is not present, where we are more engaged and challenged.
it is exclusively why i have a problem with them
auric is unplayable when theyre in the lobby, and havoc is significantly less enjoyable when theyre in the lobby
i would like to have the permission to play the game too
So besides the disgusting vulture like pile on for a different opinion…
I like all the pretending that the recent batch of nerfs didn’t actually made the game easier, so that you can lecture a guy about how you wanna nerfs to make the game harder and enjoy the mechanics more
In the meantime, we nerfed Kraks regen by making it possible to run out of worthy Krak targets before running out of Kraks, after all you ain’t regening nothing when you full, right?
And at the same time we finally nerfed the DS and uncanny strike for destroying Crushers…by spawning as little Crushers as possible
But go ahead and tell the guy all about the nerfs, tell the guy how the nerfs made the game harder and mechanically more difficult…week after the exact opposite happened!
and those threads from the same people saying the crusher reduction was too much and should be undone some?
and the fact that ds and uncanny still destroy crushers? and the fact that the #1 thing that has been asked to be taken down a peg has instead received a baseline buff? and the fact that this patch is one small step in the overall picture these people are describing?
Nothing would stop you from dropping down to malice if a proper balance was ever implemented, right? You don’t just care about personal kills at the “highest diffs” right?
Nah. Talking about nerfs just make them feel high af. Ppl on this forum just play this game for nerfs. Look at the numbers of views n comments of posts that talk about nerfs.
You know back then I avoided playing vet because it seemed too ez, I only started a few months before the big #13 and the PS was disgustingly OP AFTER the nerf; I still have no idea what the hoopla was all about and I wasn’t paying much attention to the forums and stuff. We won’t even talk about the shredder autopistol (or MG12) or the permanent ult uptime at 75% DR.
Yeah it may be silly fun for a few days to a week, but do people just legit want one-click wins? I guess I already know the answer to that given the posts here and all the way, some external, people found ways to strip out any semblance of challenge from the game.
You mean those threads from the same people who got us there in the first place by imagining purely fictional hordes of Crushers to begin with?
People made a strawman, then whined about the strawman, got the strawman removed, got crows instead and now they whine about the crows!
Is that supposed to do anything besides highlighting the staggering stupidity of it? Or do you want to point me in the direction of parts of the community being outright manipulative and dishonest when it came to the crushers spawns?
What is it and what made you think its a good idea?
What nerfs? You mean the recent patch that made the game easier?
Also yes, the very same Silentbob who said like dozen times that he doesn’t really care for damage and plays the game for the mobility actually doesn’t think the damage nerfs are a big deal!
I do however care for the absurd nonsense on display in this thread, in one hand you people wanna nerfs to make the game harder and then somehow mysteriously gloss over the recent nerfs that made the game easier just to pile on a guy!
The “absurd nonsense” in this thread was the OP stating that balance isn’t necessary in a team game, and anyone who disagrees must be playing Malice difficulty. How can anyone take that argument seriously?
