Stick with your proper threat levels- rantish

I never had friction with anyone in darktide until I started playing heresy at low levels and getting harassed for it.

As I said I am not part of any crowd so spidey sense notwithstanding. That point and yours was not helping team players it was gatekeeping plain and simple. Nothing you have said would even put a dent in Elgi for one they are actually good players if poor people. You still haven’t explained how it doesn’t reward them. They are the ones who say get good or get to a certain level… You seem to make my point that this gatekeeping is just a bad idea.

Maybe you should take stock of how you sound maybe?

Team players don’t demean and as you said Get Good is a red flag which both you and OP basically said is needed before even considering to lower yourself to play with them. (paraphrased a bit.) I don’t have regular buddies to play with thanks to odd hours of work being an Engineer. So all I generally play is Public groups and like one above said it is mostly in Heresy or Damnation we run into that crowd.

Try not gatekeeping and coming to topics with humility and team sense then maybe your actual sense of things might actually have merit. Your rude, demeaning tone of everyone who you play with (which makes me feel sorry for your friends.) showed the lack of understanding you just showed. So, it is possible for you to intelligently argue with kindness. Maybe do that rather acting like a Elgi.

They can also be a LOT of fun if you’re all the elgy.

Odds are high (assuming he’s not just BSing) that they’re the type of group that goes in with 3 of them and kicks the random for whatever arbitrary reason they find. Since we’re making assumptions about others in this topic apparently.

IE: They’re just totally insulated from the general community and don’t know how to play nice with others and likely turn it into us vs. them and are incapable of introspection and recognizing the merit of what the ‘randoms’ are doing. Since he wants to pretend he ‘recognizes’ the ‘elgi,’ crappy groups like that are a dime a dozen and have a hugely inflated sense of self worth.

Particularly amusing when you get cases like them harassing you as the random only for you to then salvage the run and whatnot. (Which happened in B4B too, yay! As you saw with him immediately bad mouthing my character choice)

Not necessarily sorry. I had a team of hotshots (well except for myself. I sucked in that run. I do not Zealot very well other than murder host near the party.) and they suicided pretty quickly because they all while good individually forget two basic things one that this game glitches hard core and at times there is only so much you can do when pinned.

Dogs have weird stratosphere jumps, Muties charging through walls (yea that has happened.), Bursters bursting through walls, trappers snagging from great distances or closets. ( yea there are problems but a party makes these trivial since its four sets of eyes instead of one.)

Aw, that hurt my feeling; hurt people, hurt people huh.
Makes me sad that you reverted and retreated back into your corner, at least you’re in good company.

My corner that I never really left of asking for empathy, understanding and team play? Recognizing that we all come from different places? And not going with your Gatekeeping agreeance because we seem to agree that solo wonders are toxic? Interesting your hurt by me saying that introspection is something you might want to do. I do it regularly, it is very healthy mentally.

In College Logic courses it is call challenging your assumptions and see if it passes a logic test or fall into a fallacy. Most of your arguments have been logically fallant. Some of mine have been too, but I at least go through the effort of providing context of my arguments.

And yes, I caught the company, and you still seem to be stuck in an either or scenario. Try understanding this discussion and points of view in it, are not so simplistic. Use the mind you showd previously and stop retreating yourself into the corner of whine and company. I am me, you are you. Treat it as such.

Whoa, you got my number! Or maybe you’re a hammer and everything looks like a nail to you. Nah, number’s been gotten.

The funny thing to me, is that there are at least 3-4 conflicting opinions voiced by y’all, your only common ground is that you disagreed w/ OP: some for content, some for “tone”, some for being called out etc. Somehow though, you became strange bedfellows and seem to be really enjoying it; good on ya.
I enjoyed the glimpse into this as well, it’s been very enlightening and somewhat entertaining.

P.S. Hey got any more B4B vids for me? I’ve watched them all multiple times already. Mom was always kinda my fave.

I’m too tired to form an argument right now so I’m just posting this response to keep the last word.

The actual point in the discussion gets lost when forum warriors “do battle” in the end its just a pointless argument.

What did any of you gain from this lol tell me that at least.

The opportunity to do battle.

What a waste of time

Anyone else?

If you get joy out of sure, if you don’t then naw. Waste of time is what this forum is for other than bug reporting, otherwise I would be playing than here. (Currently can’t really play because of constant disconnects.)

A sense of pride and accomplishment.

Ah i see goes some way to explaining the frustration I suppose.

But you can’t spill soup on your real trousers and ruin them. Those virtual pants are good forever.

When we play with our full team we clear Damnation comfortably (all v2 vets with 1000+ hours)
Yesterday we were only with 2 so we decided to do Heresy with pubs. I was on my lvl 19 ogryn, and right at the start in the prelobby thing, my mate said that people were trying to kick me. Then 5 minutes into the game this lvl 29 vet kept saying that I should be kicked for being a liability because “lvl 19 is way too low for heresy”… The rest of the match I didn’t go down once, while making it my top priority to pick up that guy every time he went down. And of course he went down a lot…

I did get an apology at the end of the match, which was very surprising.

Point of the story is: “proper” threat levels are different for everyone
