There are times that you want just to admire the map’s art or perhaps you just want to follow a team of rejects and watch.
It would be interesting if one the terminals adjacent to the mission terminal could be purposed to select a difficulty level / map and the game would you insert in a mission.
As spectator you are represented in-game as servoskull that can move freely along the map but otherwise can’t interact with it (but can communicate with the team and perhaps relay some useful information) and can’t deal or receive any damage. Perhaps allow the use of tagging.
Great idea. A 5th person in the mission to eat up more connectivity, generating irritation by moving around and on top of that has the chance to spam the chat.
I also like the idea of allowing spectators. An option to swap into first person views would be neat too. Being able to interact or interfere in any way would be a no-go though, so I disagree about tagging things or being able to communicate with them in any way.
The hell is wrong with this generation of Gamers? When have you stopped having more fun to play by your self, and started to enjoy it more to watch others play?
Play the game! If you want to spectate, then just stand next to a red barrel on a bridge and shoot it!
Hmm… One Servo-scull scouting ahead and marking all diamantine, plasteel, ammo packs, containers and grimms? That actually sounds nice. Unkillable overwatch for the main heroes, spotting ammo and yelling at players in Hadron’s voice…
I ask that pretty much every day since games are more and more streamlined and becoming easier with each patch while a lot of poeple scream “Yeah new shiny stuff i get by pressing one button, thank you so much <3.”
And is still wonder why so many poeple are bored of everything but damnation high int, but don’t want i proper balancing…
While this idea of OP will never happen anyway, it could be an option to jump into a game of friends while waiting for them to finish their run anyway.
But we really don’t need gimmicks wasting time and efford that would be better placed in real content.
I wish more games had Left 4 Dead’s AFK mode. Somethimes I do have to step away for 30-60 secs, and having a bot control me for the duration would help.
