Part of the fun for video games for me is to show off to other players just how good I am at video games. To that end, I’d like the option to toggle a setting that informs me whether a dead player on my team is currently spectating me - maybe by replacing the skull and crossbones with an eye icon.
I asked modders and they say there’s nothing the server tells your client that someone is spectating you, so they can’t make a mod for this purpose, so I’m asking you instead.
just assume the rest of the team is judging you and blaming you for their problems.
also cobalt ninja i don’t think i’d phrase it as “how good i am” in your case dude. you might need to adjust your self image.
What difference would it make to you? are you going to play better if you know somebody’s watching you I mean what the hell aren’t you a super duper player already do you need that as motivation to do better I don’t get it
Ok I’ll admit that was a very narcissistic way to phrase it. But I do like being spectated when I’m playing the game. It’s fun to have that extra pressure.
I want it for no other reason than it would be fun for me. I don’t think it’d impact my gameplay, it’s just a neat little thing.
I’d say then you might enjoy streaming you should try it!
Just drink a lot of water and don’t go to the toilet for a few hours.
It builds up pressure like nothing else.
There was this one time when i was the last one standing but noone left the game. When the thought hit me that all eyes are on me i got a shot of adrenaline and actually started playing better for the next number of minutes it took me to save the game (a very rare situation).
When your dead teammates watch you it kinda feels like you’re being relied on. It feels nice.
Also when my dead teammates watch me i subconsciously try to act more theatrically. Which also feels better then playing normally, at least once in a while.
Being watched for 1-5 minutes in one game and being watched constantly for the entire playtime is a pretty big leap. That is, if you’d be able to get any views at all. Streaming these days is an extremely oversaturated market.
