Yeah I think it’s random too as I have killed loads of elites within coherency and not been given a grenade regen. Definitely seems random IMO so would be good to know.
On a side note: I have noticed pushing pox bursters seems much more broken during the event for some reason. My ogryn mega push (boosted by skill on skill tree) sometimes fails to push them and they land at my feet and explode. Even when I have waited patiently with full stamina to do so.
Based on the tendency of recent events, a new feature request:
Exclude events from Quickplay
Unless there’s a strong incentive (Aquilas or meaningful rewards), it doesn’t feel great to be pulled into event content unintentionally, especially when it feels like testing unfinished tuning.
If testing data is “we want to see how many people will buy a DLC class if we force everyone to watch it kill 500 ogryns with a rocket launcher every mission” then I think this can be accurate
luckily I ran out of 1/6 space or john wick would get a table sized dio as well

Just had to see for myself. Started a new character so it’s default basic new starter weapon. T1 quickplay and it put me into non-event mission.
Eventually at start spawned 6 crushers, 5 bulwark and few pox b in excise vault mission. ALL at same time.
As Vet you start with shovel and lasgun kantrael, weak grenade chip damage to carapace. So it’s down to shovel and I swear it was like 16-18 breakpoints on crusher heads
Early level experience, is more punishing for sure. I think FS have been busy tweaking higher difficulties, but forgot about the lower ones for new players engagement.
I have absolutely no proof of this, but I believe that the event screwed up enemy spawns outside of the event too because I had a constant pour of Crusher’s/Bulwark’s/Poxburster’s on every Auric Maelstrom game that I played yesterday.
I thought it was very fun, but I love the chaos of explosions going off.
I started out pug with telekine shield wall and voidblast and that was great for countering the pox bursters, then my friends group we all played ogryn and really had so much fun!
The new player experience needs tweaking. The horde intensity is OK but feel carapace cart introduction a bit too early stages with what you have access to in beginning at level 1.

Absolutely, but there’s also a point in that everytime (Auric Difficulty) I had a Hive Scum with BB (I use Blackouts, but I played my Veteran through the event) it was super easy.
If I had two Hive Scum, both with BB, it was a free win.
