So you want to discuss DT...? (telopots & TACs 3h talk)

…check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwYEqCLL7fY

Before you begin to digest the conversation - give telo a sub if you haven’t. The man puts out stelar DT content, never bores with “Top 10 things to avoid in T5 missions…” kind of YT nonsense and actually goes in depth with every new patch, so if you’re into the game or the conversation around it, he’s a natural +1 to your DT ccs.

As to TinyAngryCrab (if you don’t know him already) - the pal’s been about DT since beta, all over the Discords and knows a thing or two about videogame mafs. He also might or might not be at least several of the people currently testing future content. You never know with TAC…

Now - go! Sink 3 hours of your time to listen to what the dedicated and knowledgeable have to say about DT.

Ain’t nobody got time for that!

Jokes aside, I really like Telepots, but I can’t listen to the three-hour video right now.

As much as I like him, I’m not sure what makes him know more about the game than you or me @FASAStampede.

You and I can also create a three-hour video addressing the game’s future that is equally important as one from Telepots.

Yeah, but my days of investing any creative energy into DT are long past. I’d spend hours in the Discord public rooms just pubbing and talking with people… And I mean hours daily. Now, I actively avoid playing the game. I refuse to engage to a point that makes my takes valuable.
Best I can do are some sarcastic posts once a week or two

If you make such vids - post them, by all means!

My point with the thread being - a discussion between people who test and play the game regularly in a video format is much more insightful than (I’d venture to say) 90% of the threads in here or reddit/steam. The video format is more conductive to conversation, and what’s said isn’t necessarily positive or negative, just a couple of dudes sharing takes and ideas.

Something like this is sorely needed, I feel. So I share it.

The issue, as I see it, is that Telepots play the game one way, Skiggz/Claystethics play another, ChocoB plays another, you and I play another, Reginald plays another, and the father with 18 children, six wives, and ten jobs plays another.

The question is, for which of these groups is Darktide intended?

Personally, I believe the game is best suited for those who only play 1-2 matches per day, a handful of games per week, or people like myself who play the game all day/every day and still enjoy it despite the terrible crafting and pricey mTX store.

Darktide is similar to Dota 2 and League of Legends in that the longer you play it, the more frustrated you become.

I’m currently taking a break from Darktide because I’ve become re-addicted to FFXIV and am currently grinding out my Isle Sanctuary, after which I’ll do post-Endwalker questing (Zero = best waifu) and finish up what I have left to do until Dawntrail releases.

Then I have both FFXIV, Dragons Dogma 2, and Helldivers 2 coming up to play, so my time spent playing Darktide appears to be a little grim… :worried:

I played a few Darktide matches yesterday when FFXIV went down for maintenance, but Darktide has started stuttering for me for some reason; I may need to reinstall Windows.

Absolutely.

Yeap…

Oh, yeah… I’ve been fixin’ for Helldivers two for months now, and SM2 got delayed, so… Time to do my part.

I feel you, pal. What you say is true.
