Not much so far, FS alredy scratched me 60$ from me but i hope i laugh at the long run… How do you spend your time instead of playing Darktide ? For me…:
Service guarantees citizenship, would you like to know more ?

I get not playing darktide if you don’t like it. But as revenge against fatshark its a poor strategy. They have your money. Strictly speaking if you don’t give them more then they’re just eating server costs to host your game while you play.
I’m in neither of these camps though. I just enjoy the game and want it to be better so i can enjoy it more and recommend it to others earnestly.
I haven’t played for about a month and a half.
That said I got 100 hours in vermintide 2 in that time and bought all the non cosmetic dlc for the game.
Don’t you have better things to do then post about how you aren’t playing the game? You’re acting like a crazy ex that won’t move on.
Bought the game about 3 months back. Been playing quite a bit ~400Hrs. Can’t imagine going through the day remote working without a little session here and there of Darktide.
Right now:
DRG
Gunfire reborn
Carrier command 2
VT2
Robo quest
Hell divers
Killing floor 2
And some single player games.
coming to the forms to post about how mutch you dont like the game, ever herd the term “rent free in your brain”?
it sounds like youve been playing the game for 6 months solid to the degree your lost without it and yet somehow still think its bad buy at $60 , but wasnt it $40
ill tell you what im doing less off , reading these forums. its just become an echo chamber for the 600 hours played had to change my vote to negative because it took to long to craft a weapon dipshit brigade.
Not like calling other people that may have legitimate concerns dipshits is going to change anything for the better.
Nah fam my playtime dwindled each month… There’s a difference i bought it 6 months ago and been playing the game for 6 months cuz clearly that two things dose not collerate…
And about the game feel free to enjoy:
the technical debt riddled release.(dose not have any illusion the content drops we got the past 6 months it’s just the scraps stuck in the development pipeline unfinished at release and its not part the live service model… speaking of which)
live service crap which is boils down to a lousy skin shop
The forced grind via locks / siloed resource to inflate play time
And the dwindling player base…
250h hours iin, bougth the basic version at launch and took the imperial bonus while at -30% for the aquila and the other thing. game could be better but it’s still fun as hell to play.
But I do look for the starship trooper one even if I don’t know how many of my friends I will be able to draw in.
Tbh… Dont if you not up to the total clusterfuk… Playing with full 16 randos more likely to result in a defeats or a lastleg base defense with heavy casualties retreat ( both have minor xp penalty but not the end of the world amount) Not gonna lie may found enjoyment in a fully swarmed base with 2 mag of ammo just to make a 450m mad dash to the escape ship… Or similar situations…
Or you can play with a single stack squad but the rest of the teammates still can sabotage the game via loading the gas too fast or ignoring the extermination events…
Or full milsim style with a full 16 stack player and chain of command… But those game are rare need to be set up and pre planed via discord so if you lucky you may experienced once/week
And to not be total off…
I think the next major darktide content would be dropped in this year Q4 or wors next year Q2… I bet the devs taking the next holiday and i bet too they are reached the end of the pipelinened content, new development postponed due to Xbox release… Sooo see y’all next year ?
we know sienna is coming in VT2 in automn, I think we will have a release in DT2 around the same time
I was thinking of giving that game StarShip Troopers Extermination a go, but I also thought it would be a tough ride trying to get 16 people to work together.
For example. Playing raids in Division 2 in an organised clan with 8 players where enemies can 2 hit down a player is hard enough. Can’t imagine 16 but all randoms!
Sounds like there are no mechanics designed to prevent sabotage. So I think I’ll give it a miss unless there is a game mode they come out with that can’t be sabotaged i.e. mechanics that won’t effect other players by ones own actions directly.
the way you phrased this, makes it sound like you don’t think DT is good, but you are willing to recommend it anyway to further your own goal.
quite the unfortunate way to phrase it, i know you didn’t meant it like that (at least i hope).
and we all have legit concerns , but srs read this forum lately? its packed full of insane blown out of all proportion whackadoodlery , from people complaining that locks are literally forcing them to play to this game being more predatory than diablo immoral.
the BS needs to be called out on both sides
Yes, but it’s not usually the detractors that are calling other people names almost all the time.
And I think you’re mashing together all the complaints into one big pot of hyperbole. Conflating dislike of locks and RNG, failed attempt at live service and definitively predatory practices (cash shop FOMO, currency packs, UX and UI decisions) that luckily aren’t implemented too well all together into things that weren’t actually said.
Call it out, sure; attack the arguments, sure; but attacking people is not the way to convince anyone of anything. The moment you have to go for attacking someone is the moment your argument loses any credibility.
People giving reasons why they left the game should be valuable feedback. They’re taking the time to note down for the developer what their pain points are.
There are also people in this forum that also have absolutely no idea how to apply nuance to a subject. People can dislike parts of a thing without considering the whole thing to be bad and vice versa. Calling one thing bad isn’t calling everything bad, liking something doesn’t mean you have to like every part of it, etc. etc.
It is a shame. I really do want this game to be successful. Even the people who bash it want it to be successful otherwise they wouldn’t be here either.
They just need to collect the main points in a public table format and show progression, investigation and conclusion to avoid duplicate QOL/Bugs/Requests to give that visibility and communication.
i.e. Like this The Division 2 Known Issues | Trello
It would dramatically cut down the forum spam going over the same thing over and over.
It is a big task to crawl through forum to collect main points to pass onto FatShark. But they have access to community and content creators who can be appointed this task for free and give them direct line communication to them, so it is vetted points.
People forget just like in real life you have to be humble to get what you want. If say you contact customer services for goods/services and become abusive they are less likely to help you. If you inject humour and try to raise their empathy towards situation they are more receptive.
So when developers are targeted we have to understand what developers mean. i.e. The actual developers as in coders/creative designers/sound etc are literally held back producing what they love by higher management capping them into monetisation implementions. I’m sure no developer loves making in-game stores as a challenge.
This reminds me of a conversation I had with a bar owner who was suffering revenue loss. His idea was to raise prices of his drinks, which won’t attract new customers, just be trying to make money from regular customers. I told him to look at competition in area and find out what drinks are selling and their environment. Take their ideas, improve upon it and make new ideas in innovation then people won’t care what they pay for as long as they love the place.
Throwing in-game store makes money than not having it OK, but if people love the game then they’ll spend more on it. Make people love the game first then money comes naturally without effort.
The thing about FatShark. It is very all eggs in one basket. They have no several big games to fall back in like large publishers, so they better make Darktide a success.
Having a real-money, in-game store (combined with deliberate design decisions of the Mourningstar) during a botched and rushed launch was a very cart-before-the-horse moment.
