The more I play with the Revolver on my vet, the more I wish it had more ammo. My only problem with this weapon is that it’s fun and its low ammo count means I have to stop having fun sooner than I’d like.
I’d kill for a chance at no ammo consumption on weakspot kill on this thing.
Can you imagine being able to shoot at trash tier shooters with this thing without running out of ammo?
If the Revolver is to get a damage nerf, it had best be body shot only. Headshot damage needs to remain untouched. It’s currently the only precision (pseudo, perhaps) weapon that doesn’t feel like Fatshark wants to come and kill me and my family when I use it.
The Revolver’s complete lack of idiotic sway and shot deviation along with its quick draw time and high headshot damage actually leads me to believe at least one employee at Fatshark played an FPS and enjoyed it. Wild.
I love how people think that and don’t realize that they sleep on mk1 infantry.
From the pure dps standpoint it’s the best out of all IAG’s.
Like legit, i did some tests with all the guns at 80% dmg/stopping power stat with chastise zealot, going for headshots, and guess what. Here are the results.
Mk1 at 2k dps
Mk5 at 1,6k dps
Mk8 at 1,4k dps
Right now revolver is the only zealot ranged weapon that can deal with carapace armour other than bolter. I would like to keep it being good at it until some other anti carapace weapon gets introduced, so I’m not forced to only play bolter if I want to go in pubs with a heavy sword or devil claw.
Revolver is for sure very strong but to say that it’s the best at everything is incorrect, at this moment 90% of the ranged arsenal is more or less on the same level.
Idk what you use but my Columnus V have better dps than Aripinaa I against most stuff from what I’ve seen, and I mostly use it with Vet’s Onslaught so gun with better fire rate is always prefer. Also I don’t usually go for headshot with it unless it’s immobile or big target.
If you have better time with it on FotF Zealot then more power to you. There’s also people who prefer Gria VIII too but can’t say I know what’s it strong point.
Yep, inf 1 was always a good pick for Zealot in the old pre13 game. Good all around strengths while being strong against all specialists. Now that you can just throw knives at the gunners that would have normally made it impossible to return fire courtesy of all the incoming suppression (infantry autos get no blessings for this) its back in my rotating list of guns.
I told it. Base weapons for mk5 and mk8. Agripina has punishing salvo and sustained fire which is like +40% dmg for 2 shots. Which is… like what, 100 damage in total?
Here’s a quick 334 dumdum 3 mk1 i quickly threw together for the test to level the playing field with your.
ive said it once ill say it again,
the revolver is the only real Anti Armor Gun Psyker has.
if your ganna Tune it down(nerf it) or suggest it be Nerfed.
than you better give Psyker SHOTGUNS or BOLTERS or BOTH.
ya mostly i use Revolver for Crushers, Maulers, and Ragers.
Surge, ok so hold them im place until they die, but more likely your teammate kills them.
Voidstrike, ok so knock them down over and over until they die, or again teammate.
Brain Burst, wont instant kill everything in one hit on Damnation.
also i like using guns, and i shouldnt be forced into using Staffs just because im a Psyker.
just like a Vet shouldnt be forced into only the Plasma Gun, and the Zealot a Flamer.
That’s kinda what is wrong with revolver at the moment. It’s quick to pull out, has good mobility, has a long-ish reload (if you don’t consider the fact that you can load 1 bullet and shoot it, and don’t have to sit trough entire animation), and has a good penetration for sniping specials trough the hordes.
Like if it was a plasma pistol with the heat mechanic etc, i would be fine with that. But as it stands, a handgun outpreforms the plasma gun which is a weapon that has it downsides, but straight up damage isnt one of them.
So, imo, it should just stay as a weapon for sniping unarmored-flak armored specials.
Well, tbh the dps really swing so much depending on how many crit you get while FotF is active so I guess we can agree to disagree at this point or it will just become measuring contest and it’s out of topic.
as i said if you have to spend 3-4 seconds to kill something with a brain burst,
and it doesnt die in one hit, well thats 6-8 seconds killing a single unit,
im looking at it as TTK time to kill, if you cant kill something quick enough.
dont worry your teammate will take it out for you, and if your using disrupt destiny.
well good luck getting kills if your target is a special as your team will always beat you to it.
vs another player using a bolter or shotgun, which is why im asking if Revolvers are nerfed,
id like to see Bolters and Shotguns made available for Psyker, as i dont see why they arnt now.
It’s not all there is to the game. I can quickly kill a crusher with my thunderhammer. But will i be safe while doing that and recovering from the special attack?
Yes, you can’t kill crusher as fast with voidstrike as with revolver or bolter. But you can do it safely and without using any ammo.
And what’s wrong with that?
DD dosent mark ogryns. Only shooters and elites (shotgunners, gunners, ragers). The targets i said revolver should still be effective against.
Eh, you do realise those Blazing Piety stack doesn’t always come from crit right? I just killed some poxwalker because I don’t want to wait for FotF’s cooldown and it would take a while for it to go away.
I wish it could one shot crushers on my zealot and psyker. Only on vet is it possible, and under specific builds, and then you got to aim for some seconds for the crit shot.
Indeed, I stated as much earlier in the thread. I wish people(not you) would stop labeling the revolver as a one stop shop for stopping packs of crushers. It isn’t. In fact i would take trauma staff, a voidstrike staff, a plasma rifle, or even a bolter to clear a pack of crushers before i turned to the revolver.
