Havoc 30+ was made for people of significantly higher skill level than the devs themselves.

On my 30 we had a purple heal aura captain spawn along with 2x plague ogryns and 1x chaos spawn. It was completely impossible the captain just full healed the 3x monstrosities and we couldn’t get close to the captain itself. It was the very start of clandestium gloriana in the tunnel corridoor areas so it was pretty much impossible to get past the meat wall to hit the captain let alone kill it. That map is just aids tbh (i do like it tho)

I dont think that 30+ can be done without some metacrawling. I think in core its not depends on how u good now.

And i think we will see some groups that done 40 but… without psykers. Because smite dont work, bubble breaks almost instanteniously and dont provide any defense against 2 monsters and leutenats and lots of crushers.

Power of ogryn, veteran or zealot abilities dont depends of mutators. Psyker is.

So now as o can see good team 2 zealots, 2 ogryns is the best for 30+.

Why did they keep the demotion system? No one wants it and we’ve all been saying it since havoc was release. Now they’ve made it even worse.

I’ll not even bother trying this new update until that huge anxiety trigger is removed.

The challenge should be getting to the end of the mission, not worrying you’re not going to be able to attempt it again.

it’s 1 day old, it will take some time to find a new meta. tbh the old havoc was simpler to play with the common setup: turn off gunners with book & bubble, have a purity zealot to heal goop. the new havoc is more melee-centric, doesn’t have such “safety” mechanics and requires more coordination to take out healers first, or you lose by attrition.

so by what i see, players that had ranks of 31-40 were reset to 30 and have to climb to 40 again?

Yes, but there is demotion system and what i can tell - i start from 30 and ended on 24

aehem,… isnt that the “default” setting?
not to diminish or anything, i mean i did exactly that(pre patch) but premades for various reasons aint even an option for me.

so in theory if thats the utmost max one could take out of havoc, in a game thats a huge % of randoms and an even larger % of lesser skilled, clueless people, how the hell am i to play 10 havoc matches a day and make it my default setting?

I have no idea. Every single playtester was against it, public feedback has been overwhelmingly negative. Just Fatshark things, I guess.

is that so strange that people would rather try different things and play more if they don’t risk their rank, rather than being very cautious and meta-centric so they don’t lose more?

edit: and it’s about being able to play and replay the highest difficulty you’re qualified to and not lose that right, not about bits of plasteel.

while losing a rank a week for not playing havoc at all would be acceptable to keep people playing the mode.

While I’m not sure yet whether I think the deranking is good/bad/neutral, I feel people need to chill about it. You don’t lose anything, you might get a bit less materials if you don’t complete another challenge that week. Materials that nobody on playing havoc level 30-40 even has any use for :wink:

that might be true to a degree, but at one point the only “relevant” matches are havoc 40, especially if you try to create content to upload.

who’d watch a havoc 15? well, then theres no point in playing it either given the day only has so many gaming hours.

Even if they get rid of de ranking none of is are havoc 40 anymore anyway. I played two havoc 40 games after getting to havoc 40, then noone could play for 3 days, then I get back on and im now havoc 30 lol. They dont want anyone playing havoc so we wont and the que was completely dead yesterday and you also cant even play low havoc for penance points cuz if you lose you can still de rank. Also yeah the time it takes to complete a havoc is part of the reason why i was on the fence about havoc 40 anyway. Most people arent going to spend 50 minutes in a run when you can just go watch a movie or something. Thats how long some true solo runs are but youre playing with 3 other people lol.

Hilarious you can fight as many bosses now in a havoc game as a monster special mission maybe even more. So now every havoc game is basically everything in the entire game all at once. Heres 4 bosses and the twins and the kitchen sink and pox gas in a small corridor with 30 ragers and 12 maulers good luck.

yeah saw the wasteland that is party finder around daytime and early evening.

i dont have a problem with the 50 minutes mark personally, up till this point i’d have sunken some hours into darktide that day anyways.

its the limited fail potential with a high fail chance group that makes the endeavour futile.

plus seeing full grown channels having the same resentment towards havoc right now i’m at a loss what to do breaking youtubes algo with exceptional content :man_shrugging:

Agreeing the let’s have a chance on every boss etc spawning on the map based on progress is pain, however watching a speed runner getting ganked from afar by their behaviour on Havoc was something special.
