Sister Repentia for Next Character/Class

A sister repentia would be totally different and badass and fun to play as and to have as teammate

That’d just be a female Zealot locked to Martyrdom with less clothes.

Now I like scantily clad women as much as the next guy, but there’s plenty of other choices that’d be a better candidate for a new class than Repentia.

I’d be surprised if it wasn’t something admech after the psionic weapon references were added and with the GW push for the year (remember this is a toy company) being admech. All the other 40k games are barking up that tree lately too, sort of like when Rogue Trader had an Arbites add on around the time we got one.

But faith is all Zealot has left (and refusing to die but the game has to go sideways for that to truly shine) and we have scantily clad upgraded Zealot performance with Scum already. Having a gender-locked character that isn’t Ogryn seems to be the only unique thing here…but they don’t make cosmetics for DLCs, so even that would be wasted.

It seems like the left hand Zealot tree already covers the Repentia stuff, even moreso since the Zealot has an Eviscerator, charging into melee is also pretty much all the Zealot has left.

A Sister of Battle class, or adjacent such as a Novitiate or Hospitaller seems like a guarantee however. Especially with Boltgun 2 since tie-ins have been consistent.

Fatshark drew attention to the dichotomy between Arbites and Hive Scum, if the next class is something Mechanicus then a faith focused opposite would make sense.

It also means that they’d be able to reuse Warrior Priest and Grail Knight from VT2, potentially even Psyker’s warp mechanics if they’d be doing another resource class with faith instead.

While I’m in the camp of “Sister Class could work and be different enough from Zealot to be warranted”, a Repentia being the Class would just make it Zealot 2.0

Ye, Acts of Faith could be a cool mechanic, maybe having Faith matter in different ways than Peril, with it boosting the Sister to be tougher.

As much as I dig the Sororitas at the end of the day they are just Zealots on steroids with way better equipment, and I think we have enough powercreep already.
The new class will be most likely mechanicus related given that WH Skulls event will happen soon and Rouge Trader announced a Mechanicus companion for the new DLC, the same went down with Arbites back in the day.

They could just add the cosmetics (fat chance lol), zealot already exists.

But they should also add a properly proportioned eviscerator then.

I feel like some classes could have more distinct sub-classes, or “careers” if you will.

A sister repentia would be cool as a zealot branch.

Psykers could have primaris, astropath, and unsanctioned.

A veteren sub-class could be officer, and commissar.

Feel like if they did want to go this way, they would be better with picking Crusader and possibly a Redemptionist of some sort.

Sister do have some potential and imo would be able to sell quite well.

given what base they use to not cover with cloths here, it could be a dude in a cold room as well, gonna pass on this one if that’s our “options” :grin:

Correct I just run a separate female zealot character on my account that has Eviscerator and Bolt Pistol, talents going into Fury Of The Faithful and Martyrdom

Cosmetics wise I bought the Zealot Shorts long ago after they debuted on Commodores Vestures

  • Acolyte Headsmans Hood
  • Catechists Vestments
  • “Risktaker” Pants

It’s all for fun of course playing a “temu” repentia and there are some base Cosmetics that can work yet the “Zorts” sell the current sculpt feel of Sisters Repentia lol

Doesn’t matter what flavour the next class brings as long as it includes a spear weapon. Heck I would even play vet if it had a spear exclusive…

I was thinking of having Faith be a solid resource that you want to keep building up to the limit through actions: killing, saving teammates, taking damage, ect, whereas Psyker’s Peril is much more fluid with it being raised and lowered constantly at will.

The trade off being everything runs off of Faith from damage to survivability. Abilities cost a certain percentage of Faith rather than cooldowns, so you could have a very powerful ability such as a Grail Knight esque slash but it would eat into your overall stats to use. Grenade type items could be relics instead that grant bonuses or do damage but eat into your Faith resource.

You could even do something like Warrior Priest’s Hammer and book weapon but instead Power Sword and Relic, Bolt Pistol and Scripture, ect.

I think having the abilities still be tied to cooldown would to be better balance, but like with the Psyker have some/all of them affect the Faith resource (One refilling it, and another emptying it to bolster the effect).

Having the Blitz like the Psyker (here instead costing faith), but as new thing, having the Aura be dependent on the level of faith.

Having 2 “weak” aura that become more interesting when near max faith, and one aura that inversely is stronger if you have low faith (To have normal vs Repentia style)

Surprised they don’t have Acts Of Faith on Zealot

I’m not that surprised, the Cleric doesn’t have any Act of Faith stuff accessible in base Dark Heresy, they do get it with the Arch Exorcist in BoM.

I was already somewhat surprised with the Relic/Book ability.

we just need some decent zealot cosmetics and eviscerator skins for the sister repentia
