Minotaurs are fine, but they can get a bit monotonous since if the beastmen are around you’ll almost certainly fight one, and if it’s Chaos Wastes you will definitely fight one. Maybe two. Obviously it’d be sweet if a whole new monster could be added (a Centigor? Razorgor? Maybe just a slower minotaur with armor and a shield instead of dual axes? Wouldn’t even have to record new voice lines for that one) but I know that’s a decent chunk of extra work. In the meantime, a probably much faster option would be to copy what Total Warhammer did: let Chaos Spawn also show up as part of the beastmen enemy set, just with a different skin. Same attacks, same AI, still count as Chaos Spawn for any achievements or whatever, they just look (and maybe sound) a bit more beasty.
speaking of lifting stuff from total warhammer, the beastmen army in that game have poisonous hounds, in case you were thinking of giving the beastmen another special
Cygors are far too big and we’ll beyond the other monsters. They’re closer to Hellpit Abomination tier. I am 100% on board with a Cygor Stage hazard scenario though. Like one where you have to take cover lest you get rocked by them.
@ElevatorEleven full agree, it’d be great if Beast just got…more specials and monsters. Razorgor or Chariot is preferred but probably beyond FS’s capability
Thank you @Heretical_Cactus for mentioning of the old thread. I’ll add a link below for anyone interested in seeing what was discussed in that thread regarding more Beastmen enemies, including more Beastmen monsters.
Cygors are still several order of magnitude above the monsters U5 have been fighting. But the bigger problem is one of scale. If a Cygor was an enemy, it’d need its own tailor made arena, or have him be a far off hazard hurling rocks at you (prioritizing Sienna and Sisters of the Thorn Kerilian).
Bovigor sounds good, and as much as I want to see Centigor I wonder if FS can handle that kind of body type. It’s sort of like how the weapon teams are converted into a single unit.
What id love to see are Harpies and brayshamans as specials.
My biggest disappointment with the Beastmen DLC was it’s just a single level, and it didn’t even focus on the Beastmen as Skaven and Rotbloods specials still spawned like crazy.
