Here is my internal logic. Welcome to my random thought for the day.
*next decade
Yeah but they can’t just copy it 1:1 right? What if the scriers gaze version buffed you during the wind down instead?
Hear me out. What if hitting 100% peril would have 1 in 20 chance to turn into, an AI director controlled, weakened chaos spawn.
lol it still wouldn’t matter because Scrier’s gaze CD counts down when the ability is in use. Everybody can easily chain Scrier’s gaze in higher difficulties.
I think that’s the side the nerfs could be coming from, unless it’s the Hive Scum that gets buffed instead (as in, longer CD for rampage and desperado but their CD counts down while they’re in use, similar to Scrier’s)
No! They should turn into a full powered Daemonhost
unless there’s a hotfix it’s gonna be a skeleton crew until like february or march, right? idk if they’ve ever released anything mid-january ever beyond their apology back in year 1 of release.
This would be a nice and necessary nerf, which is why I think executioner’s stance will get it first and then they’ll never apply it to psyker because of the backlash that would get. Instead they’ll give them infinite ammo as long as they reload while at low peril or something to make gunker more viable.
Don’t treat my comment too seriously. I’m just laughing how Hive Scum has the ONLY ability in the game which makes you quite vulnerable at the end of it.
To some degree the class feels like it was designed by someone who totally ignored the recent trends in other classes talent tree changes. From toughness over time regen talents, to ability cooldown counting down when in use (this is also partially visible with the ability cooldown reduction granted by the Scum’s stim.
I would sooner believe Rampage catches a buff first.
There’s no point in the game’s life cycle where getting punished with -25% health/toughness and -75% stamina regen would make sense.
it’s really annoying, like braking right when you start picking up speed. and if the game keeps throwing enemies at you after you exit rampage, you won’t look good.
Yes, assessing how much time you have left gets tricky, and being left with no stamina can you catch you unprepared, especially for Pox Bursters and hound lunges. This doesn’t gel well with higher intensity on difficulties at all. You are forced to take a gamble, take the shout talent or play safe with 1 Blackout.
I mean, it’s a studio where they begin work on a patch or DLC with the current-at-the-time codebase but frequently doesn’t update that work with any interim changes that happen between starting the work and releasing which is how we get so many returning bugs and reverted changes.
That damage taken and less stamina debuff is unreasonable. They should remove it or set a talent to avoid it. Before scrier got warp unbound talent, this ability was ever the worst one in this game.
Far from it, scriers gaze was extremely strong from day 1 with the right melee weapon. Many people just aren’t good enough at the game to play melee psyker, nor melee hive scum
Actually it’s only psykinetic’s aura that gives your ability it’s cooldown back while it is active, hive scum can do the same with a regular concentration stim during rampage or desperado (no stim lab active).
I wonder whether you’ve played scrier before psyker tree rework. Your words looks so absurd and never reached a high skill.
Scier’s Gaze is insane…
Such nerf (a debuff after the ability) would be a good point.
I would hate that they transform it is something not good.
Defensive buffs of Scrier’s Gaze were a mistake, it was already a good ability in auric pre-buff, maybe a bit weak in Havoc due to how the gamemode is balanced, but they made it completely busted to the point where nobody plays bubble shield in auric anymore lol, because what’s the point if Scrier’s Gaze can make you facetank shooters with that 20% toughness dr and also give you way more damage, and it also can remove peril overload which I think is a mistake too, because it was a unique thing to Shriek builds.
My initial point was obviously a joke, and mostly a commentary on design inconsistencies.
Personally, I don’t think such debuffs work well in high intensity game mods, especially in Havoc.
I repeat it… You have to ignore Havoc to balance the game. Havoc is a masochist game mode that is clearly made to restrict the gameplays.
So I don’t see that a problem that you could not use it in Havoc. Would you use an infantry autogun veteran for Havoc? no, because the game mode forbids you to pick that.
And seriously, there is something wrong in psyker. I would not point scier’s Gaze because this ability is a risk. Melee with a psyker requires skill. And tbh, this would not be the first thing I would think to nerf on psyker (soulblaze is).
