Also whats your favourite Marks,Perks and Blessings?
mk5 best one, since you can actually snipe with it
Blaze Away and flak maniac, and you can do something funny with Inspiring Barrage to refill your toughness fully in a pinch, but need 60-66% ammo to do it the fastest, because then you fully stack IB in 2 bursts
if not going for IB then take Can Opener
dump collat
^I think Stability is still irrelevant for Mk5? If you want a generic base to switch to MK2 then Collateral (but why would you want Mk2).
f&m m&c, blaze and can opener.
Low ammo too, 19 shells in the magazine if you want a stack of blaze away per shot in a burst.
I dump collateral because I believe stability affects how fast the Ripper recovers from bloom. I can’t tell you how impactful staggerforce is on this gun and I don’t really mind it either since headshots are typically good and easier to get when the enemy isn’t rolling backwards.
I use the mk 2 and 5 equally and for different purposes. The 5 is the most all-purpose mk and has the highest skill ceiling. Great for casual play and great for people who want to make a minigame out of controlling recoil and conserving ammo by canceling the burst fire (q cancel or sprint tapping). Also it has a very long range.
Mk 2 is my baby because I still like to use my ripper as a melee weapon with Can Opener.
I have used the Mk 6. It ain’t for me but it is ammo efficient since it’s 2-shot burst only.
Standard perks: flak, maniac, unarmored, carapace (w/Can Opener)
On most builds, Blaze Away and Fire Frenzy is good enough. On my cleaver melee build I use Can Opener with Fire Frenzy. On a Gunlugger build that’s all in on Lucky Bullet I will use Cavalcade and Flechette to squeeze as much boss damage as possible.
Terrifying Barrage is meh, counts as a minor stun against enemies that can be suppressed (and a team damage boost with Coward Culling), Born in Blood can’t compete with just meleeing. There is a case where Inspiring Barrage is good for somebody. As written, a full mag equals 40% toughness. With Gunluggers 5% toughness back per second while braced, maybe there’s a world where Ogryn is face tanking gunners, but i can’t recommend it because you just don’t have that much ammo and can’t afford to skip melee toughness regen.
just preparing for the day they fix stability not doing anything
also collat is bad because you dont want to knock down everything on its ass instantly and miss half the shots
^Fair enough, stock up on either, it’s super easy, barely an inconvenience to get perfect dump-stat items from shops.
You can also get a ~62 ammo Ripper now so that’s ~ideal.
