I don’t think they log voice chat though is the problem. So it’s a “he said she said” situation and no action is likely to be taken.
Maybe but if enough tickets can be traced to them, FS might do something. Unlikely but might.
Blaming your team does not make you a team player, that’s just a shitty attitude. Own up to your failures and learn from them.
Yup, gotta be really careful with “he said she said”. Fake mass reporting is totally a thing that also happens. Hopefully there’s other evidence, and at least puts them on FS’s radar.
Never said always blame the team. It’s equally bad not to be helpful. I said you should work as a team and help each other and like one of the other posters put there is plenty of reasons to go down that has nothing to do with bad play. Selfishness does not work.
For example:
Trying to get the shooters busy while shouty works on the plague-ogryn.
Or rev da Boss, cause he has higher long range value than an Oggy.
Or stampede through a horde to rescue/relieve spark’ead but being left alone
Or gettin’ killed by shooters, becaus Boss finds it more useful to kill the meelee you are actually replenishing your toughness with
BUT that’s off topic.
Imho, and I put my focus on diversity management in university, the fear of false acusations is in general not proven as a mass phenomenon. It happens, true, but it is all to often a quick an easy reply by the majority-group to the call for mechanisms to prevent discrimination.
I, as a white p*nis-owner, do not feel threatened by the rightful claim for anti-discrimination mechanisms of any kind, as I try to behave, which does not allways work, but I think I’m strong enough to apologize being made aware of such misbehaviour!
If only there was a report function.
Probably too complex for fatshark.
I mean, writing a survey with no errors in it seems to already be asking too much.
I muted voice comms a long time ago. It’s just kids
At one point I was muting text based chat too. I think I would only allow voice comms if I knew the people I was playing with and we where playing as a proper team. Otherwise you run the risk of letting people like this throw rocks into your pond.
There is.
First thing I turn off on multiplayer games including DT.
Voice chat in game is too quiet for effective communication regardless. That’s even after turning down SFX and music to half or less.
That being said: It sucks when people automatically mute voice comms. It also sucks that the reason people automatically mute voice comms is often petulant children or churlish morons.
The only reason I even joined the discord is to get comms that were actually audible, and that’s been MOSTLY okay. There are some weird folks out there with weird baggage and frankly, they probably need to see a therapist rather than dropping their weirdness on random folks on voice for a videogame.
Don’t know… 150h login in here… never had a very toxic teammate.
If i have one, I just ignore them…
Rude. I like to think of myself as a petty hate machine.
You mean, like holding the entire side and your team not letting you know they have decided to move elsewhere and letting several enemies come at you from behind and surround you? Sure.
And the arrogance that if a teammate is not as good as you or does not think as you that teammate should not be ever helped/watched for.
Of course, the poor choices are a range and sometimes it cannot be helped - but as a rule…
Why you complaining about someone complaining? To get attention?
First of all, you need to keep track of your team, if everyone but you are moving, you’re the problem.
Second, if you need a babysitter to get through the level, consider moving down a notch.
I rarely hear people on voice, probably for this very reason. I think i’ve heard one person speak a little, then stopped when he realized nobody else was.
Sometimes yea, sometimes not. It gets a bit difficult to disengage and follow the team when the team derps and leaves you handling a horde and several specials alone.
As shocking as this might be for you, it’s entirely possible that people who are not you, don’t look like you or don’t sound like you, might encounter more abuse, hate and/or sexism in life than what you have experienced.
Completely and totally anecdotal, but whenever I have joined a random group on the official discord that happened to involve a female, I never heard anyone say anything bad. Nor did I hear anyone say anything bad when it was just all dudes either. So, yeah, completely anecdotal, but you may find more civilized people on there if you want to play with voice comms.
