They didn’t change drop rates at all and there is few other ppl that recorded their drops.
And I don’t know where you live but I never have problem finding qp lobbies, and most ppl playing over 1k hours have pretty much 80 if not more % of that game as qp. Take head outside of sand
I am in the states, and often times only 1-2 games going. I dont know why you think im obscuring data (im not) my evidence is only anecdotal (like that guys drop table you posted). obviously you need more data to crunch numbers than what he has given.
Man, you are just… Not good with logic.
With all honesty, I kind of suspect you’re trolling at this point, so I’m out.
Possibly the right question is that the red drop isn’t too low but Does the Red drop give you what you want/need?
99% of the time it’s a flat no.
I have 2k hours in the game, still no red Greatsword skin. I’ve obviously got Red stats for it as I burned up the dozens of red trinkets I’ve got, but no skin.
I also have hundreds of Chests I Can’t-Be-effing-Ar$ED to open as I can’t be AR$ED to go through the salvage headache.
So, my tentative solution is that red SKINS should be purchasable in the store, but they can only be put on max stat/red weapons so players can actually get the weapon they want without having 20 dust/trinkets kicking about. A player can use the reds that drop to get what they want a little sooner. And it uses up some shillings to boot, and has a meaning to getting shillings AND pointless reds I don’t want or need.
As a new player, getting a Red in a Champ Emp Chest was brilliant, until it was some sucky thing for someone you don’t play.
Hyprocrisy much? You know read about dunning-kruger effect it will maybe help you fight against it
What does the amount of hours have to do with how many red items you have? We should look at the amount + type of chest we opened.
‘still no greatsword skin after 2k hours’
Also
‘can’t be ar$ed to open chests’
Red skins will probably become available in LE, but this wasn’t specificly about skins, it’s my understanding op was more complaing about red weapons stat wise.
Amount of hours makes no difference other than I feel like I’ve opened hundreds of Emp Vaults and am missing that skin. OP mentioned they though it’d be 800 ish hours for them to get all red items, and point is (agreeing with you @anon75893681 ) Amount of hours doesn’t matter in an entirely RNG system. Some people will have done 200 hours and got 5 Greatsword skins but no elf-bow skins.
OP mentions having five reds can get max stats but he feels that’s too long a grind too, and red skins in LE would be a way of offering a player a way of working towards what they want.
It’s been years, it’s very very unlikely there’ll be a buff to drop rates.
Chest drop rate didn’t change, or atleast not publicly.
The issue is red drop rates, thats what this thread is about?
I don’t see how having a premade can make you get red items faster, not every premade is sweaty, you can also just play with friends for fun. Even elitists don’t get them every run, rng and droprates also apply to them.
Also how does alot of hours equal to being elitist
I think something is weird if you don’t find games, rlly shouldnt happen where you live.
Also if you wanna join premades you can always join discord server and play with players there, it doesn’t guarantee good players, as it’s just a lobby browser outside of the game, but it feels like players are better so that counts
Yes i agree about adding red skins to LE.
And yes i think hours is a bad indicator, i could have 2k hours, spend 1k hours in veteran, 50 hours afk, 450 hours legend, and 500 hours weaves, and maybe failed half of the runs i did, so yea i think its weird and a bit irrelevant, as i could make a new account and jump straight into legend after 10 hours for example. You get my point (you probably did and i missunderstood and i repeated myself)
People are reporting all kinds of things when it comes to lobby browser. I rarely find plenty of action in it (Northern Europe) but that only tell me that there aren’t a lot of half full games. Whenever I qp or host solo it’s easy to find a game or additional teammates if it’s in the afternoon or evening.
For finding pugs it’s basically what Mattie spoke about the discord or by adding nice people you come across in game. Both options work just fine.
The larger open discords would be Squirrel Squad, Bloodmoon Inn and Vermintise official. They all have lfg channels and even the official discord has seen some action lately. If there aren’t any occupied rooms just state what you play and jump into an empty room, as it’s usually what works best.
Yeah and this is a mistake to fix an issue by removing all the core mechanic that’s being added. You can already target a specific item in orange rather fine. There’s kinda no need to “remove it” as it does attract people more than VT1.
Well systems are kinda connected. As RNG would give you a more positive discovery if traits/properties were not that bland. And that’s an opinion that had a need to be developped.
Wow, you mean, like ALL diablo-like games ? That’s intriguing !
To be serious, it opens paths for builds you didn’t try, you can’t really know if you will like them or not, but that’s another thing with RNG, it allows you to try things you would have not tried before.
If my first red is a swift bow, I’ll try swift bow (and see that I don’t like it). < Taken from an actual example of a player I helped. The fact that he didn’t like the bow wasn’t “bad”, he just had another bow to chase after.
That’s where the issue is, non “controlled” randomness. Diablo-like games usually adress the issue by providing loot tables for certain things, that doesn’t cover the integrality of items (as it kinda is now). This issue could be solved without removing all together the RNG.
And I think Vermintide could be better with a controlled RNG.
Yeah, I guess that’s if RNG is used wrongly, in a parallel world, it could be less fun than it is. But again. I’m just opposed to the removal of rng, not the control of it.
Again, nope. Because controlled rng (as in, you know, MMOs and Diablo-like games) used in a good way is actually an incentive to play. Because you provide a chase for the player. A CONSISTENT ONE as it is, again, kinda limited, but it’s not of a chase anymore if the rng is removed.
No, don’t try to paint me as a bad guy for rethorical purpose. That’s actually an honest question, as the vast majority of players I know do rarely play it anymore. Because once you got the reward, it becomes a bit long map for what it offers. You can occasionnaly help people beat it, given (I also did that).
And still, it’s a very minority compared to the “non modded realm” where you actually get rewards. Usually by people that already have what they chase for.
Well, as long as this RNG is not “bought” by real money, I see no offense, and kinda no need to compare to predatory marketing attack. This is not the same. And this should not become the same.
interesting that u know how much percentage the average player plays quickplays. I have more than 1000 hours and i play almost no quickplays. i find it way more interesting if i choose the maps myself that i want to play. especially as i want to finish every map with all books on cata. which would be quite annoying doing it by quickplay.
