Q: What power levels do you look for in all tiers of gear?

Im interested in what power level is best in each tier.

I tend to see a grey around 370 or more in Brunts and just buy it because they upgrade to be, mostly from what Iv seen, 520ish power level.
I think greens get up to around 430 power? but Im not sure. I had one that was 426 green.

So, what power levels do you look for in all tiers of gear?

Iv been looking for gear equal to or above:
370 grey
420 green
dunno blue or purple
520 yellow

Or… do you just spam his armoury? If so, what power level are you looking for at min? Do you just look for preferred stats?

If the base stats aren’t at least 350-360 (allocated properly) I don’t bother. Doesn’t matter what the rarity is.

The base stats are what matters (ie individual stat bars) plus having at least 2 of the perks/blessings you want. The ratings are just a numeric tally, nothing more.

For individual stats, I’m looking usually for 75+ in key stats like damage, first target, penetration, ammo, etc. The closer to 80 the better. Other stats can be lower and “dump stats” might not matter at all because they just don’t impact gameplay much. Mobility for example nets you its maximum dodge count around 55 or so, so often can be lower. I’ve had weapons in the 340’s with near perfect key stats and low dump stats that work perfectly well.

So… the base rating (total of each stat bar) can be a helpful quick total to look at. Usually 360+ merits a look at the stat bars. But it’s all about the individual boards.

The overall rating is almost entirely useless and I never bother looking at it.

Yeah I always just look for a dump stat Mobility on my weapons, and aim for 370+.

I was originally just spamming Brunts, but recently stopped to stockpile Credits (in preperation!).

Buying from shop anything that is 370+ and that interest me:

  • so a weapon that I want/need/don’t have with all combinations possibles
  • with right stats

Best are the weapon that have no blessing I want (large increase of the chances to get what you want).

Worst I have and use, is a 506 power level (was using, cause it is the autopistol that I currently cannot use cause it is too bad).
I would never use a grey, green, blue or purple, even to try something. The barely minimum is an orange with the 2 blessings I want (and bad perks).

I rarely use Brunt. My experience is that you will spend 1 million, at least, to get one acceptable weapon. Did that yesterday. I have got a kantrael lasgun MK Ia good. Then I consecrated it and got perks spint efficiently / stamina when weapon active and first blessing was Efficiency III. Let’s say I stopped here (at purple) and sold the gun.

Weapon dependent. General rule of thumb? Damage stats above 70, Mobility above 50, Collateral is usually
a dump stat.

I personally aim for 365 and up, enjoy seeing high 370’s that make the monkey brain feel good.

Unless the base stats are 373+ with a nice spread, I don’t bother. I’ve camped Brunt’s shop for almost a year using the web app and, apart from some weapons like Helbore II, I’ve got Orange 535+s in most categories. Heaven help you if you don’t use the Chrome Brunt-store plug in, you’ve no chance.

A good green tends to be better than a good blue in my experience as Hadron will always stiff you when upgrading from a Brunt blue. Almost like there’s a hidden value tagged with it.

But right now, I’m stocking up on good looking base 375+ on the new weapons, on the basis that the new crafting idea looks as though I can scrap bad blessings in the future.

365+ base, preferably at least 74 in the most important stats, 51 or above on dumpstat

…suck a rager thru a hosepipe?

It’s very weapon dependent. On some stuff like lasgun even base 350 can be an absolute gem, Thunder hammer and plasma isn’t really worth looking at under 370.

Does the power level signify more stats?

As in, for every x stat points + perk level + blessing level = power score increase?

Or are they irrelevant or unrelated?

Thanks for all the answers btw ppl

HECK YEAh

if you want something more indepth. some stats matter more than others, and some stats scale differently.

for example on a force sword 73% damage and 80% damage is only a difference of 2 points while on a trauma staff its a lot more significant cant remember off hand.
also some stats like penetration only get you 1-4% extra damage for 10% and some stats like collateral have almost zero tangible effect. you gotta click v to inspect the weapon and just get a feel for them from there

I don’t look at power levels at all. The only thing that matters are the stats, and the stats come from base score.

Ideally I’d like to just look at the stats and nothing else - since some weapons have real dump stats and can be perfect even at ~330 bscore -, but realistically the odds of that are incredibly low. And many weapons don’t have true dump stats, just priorities. So my first filter is the base score, bc it’s a fast & easy way to filter out most of the trash.

With stores I just tap arrows to quickly sweep down through the list checking for blessings I don’t have once, then do another sweep back up checking for anything with ~350+ bscore, checking the stats of each that passes. Very, very rarely there’s a weapon with a perk or blessing good enough that it weighs in on the decision. But I don’t care at all for the color of the item, only that bscore & stat dist.

With Brunt’s (gray item store) I use the Buy Until Rating mod to always buy in batches of 20, selling back anything below 360 bscore. Even if I know I might occasionally lose a diamond in the rough, this is just such a huge QoL and saves me so much time that I don’t mind.

Oh, sry for my ambiguous earlier response. Super tired and missed this. x.x

Power Level is simply a summary of everything a weapon has. It literally doesn’t mean anything nor has any impact on anything. It’s just:

  • “base score” + “perk(s) & tier” + “blessing(s) & tier” = Power Level

Base score = Sum of all stat points. At level 30 all items get 300 - 380 bscore. All sources (stores & rewards) do an RNG roll weighted heavily towards the low end (300) to determine their score.

tldr; The actual stats and the actual perks & blessings are the only measure of a weapon’s power. Base score is just a summary of how many stat points something has, and Power Level is just a summary of that + everything else.

Which is why a Power Level 540 item can and often is much worse than a Power Level 450, if the 540 has nothing but the wrong kinds of perks & blessings and the worst possible stat distribution. You even have T2-3 exclusive blessings like Man-Stopper etc. which are unique and fantastically strong, yet make that Power Level complete garbage just bc of their tier.

I don’t have the patience to comb the armory so instead I buy weapons in bulk from Brunt. Anything 350+ with a good stat distribution I’ll consider running through the shredder (Hadron). The weighting on items is massively stupid and has been for years so raw Ordo Dockets are the only way to overcome the nonsense.

350, but then don’t settle for less than 79% favorite stats, like damage on ranged or mobility on melees

it has to be mentioned that weapons base stats can be improved with the new crafting update, so i would recommend not wasting resources now unless for completing your blessing libraries

No, overall score doesn’t affect power level whatsoever.

Mobility isn’t that great for most melee weapons. Dodge count is the most important property and that usually maxes out at 55% or so.

FYI - the stats max at 80% as we all know. The ranges for stat propertie however are based on going to 100. All weapons are unable to reach the max dodge count listed for a weapon because in all cases it requires having a mobility rating above 80%.

There’s a mod that shows the max property values scaled to the 80% instead of at 100% and this becomes quite apparent.
