Please can you throw together a pvp , mode. Dont waste resources balancing it if its too much work. Or if your devoted to PVE make it a race between two teams on a level.
This games combat is amazing. I know brainburst would be a OP ability in pvp but does it matter.
PVE players against PVP. Just avoid clicking the game mode.
Not every game need a pvp mode and they already tried and failed to do so in Vt2.
Still mean dev hours spent (wasted) to a mode that most of the community would not even care about
I also want a PvP mode of some kind. It’s potentially a crazy huge amount of fun that is just being left on the table.
I would also say that the developers should ignore the extremely vocal and loud forum warriors who are PvE purists. They will whine and whinge, but they don’t represent the OVERWHELMING majority of non-forum and casual players who vastly outnumber them and would love a fun PvP mode, and once it is added they will wonder why they didn’t ask for it themselves.
As for the forum warrior dev hours excuse: Fatshark made stupid amounts of money from Darktide, so they should just straight up hire a dozen people, stick them in a separate PvP department, and tell them to make something fun. The end.
PvP mode would be great. All the screeching about how melee is underpowered because people
keep getting deleted by plasma rifles and boltguns from across the map would be legendary.
I would have loved Vs. I ended up getting really into VT2 while I hung on patiently for that. The trailer was great, L4D is still one of the best games in the genre because it has a PVP mode that you will probably sink more hours into than campaign.
Anyway actual PVP of rejects vs rejects would suck, and I wouldn’t even really want to play a special in DT they are much more minor threats than previous titles. VT2 they provide the only threat to force you into ranged, and if you don’t you usually get hurt. Here you can bully the scab trapper with some set ups, the one that is supposed to be like packmaster (who is basically impossible to stagger with an actual attack).
I dunno, playing sniper or the grenadier dude (400+ hrs in and I still have to look up the names of stuff) could provide some prime trolling possibilities.
