Put a space marine in the social zone

I don’t want to play them, I just think it would be interesting to have one that walks through the hub now and then, and freaking TOWERS over everything.

I get why you’d want one but like from a lore perspective why would you need a Space Marine to babysit a bunch of low level convicts? Space Marines are busy! There aren’t enough Space Marines to kill all the xenos that need killing. The equivalent ‘punishment’ of peeling potato in the kitchen would be like having to clear out some back water orc outpost instead of being on a glorious crusade to recover a relic (or steal one if you’re a Blood Raven)

personal guard for an inquisitor for that operates in an obviously chaos infected region?

seems more than plausible

Well, purely as speculation on why, Maybe he’s on the A-team working for the inquisitor, and we’re the F-troop. We’re on a ship, so there’s got to be more going on then just the convicts, right?

And he’s just passing through to help himself to the convict’s toilet paper because the three seashells in the nice cabins accidently got flushed.

Then he wouldn’t really be in the same area roped off for Rannick’s special project would he?

We don’t even know if Grendyl is on the Mourningstar at all. Hell, we don’t even know if he exists.

Sure he would. He needs to steal…er…requisition… toilet paper.

Space Marine only on Christmas and he should be wearing a Santa hat

Didn’t know Inquisitor Grendyl started employing Blood Ravens :joy:

I think he should also appear on Saint Patricks day dressed as a leprechaun.

How about just a life-size statue of a space marine? Just so people get an idea

could be a lone survivor from some obliterated chapter, or a deathwatch marine on the inquisitor’s personal retinue as others have mentioned. Personally though, I’d like to see them put an Eye of the Emperor watching over the galley.

If you don’t know, the Eyes of the Emperor are essentially retired custodian guard that travel the galaxy to keep tabs on the goings-on of everything, acting as informants and occasionally exacting the emperor’s will when necessary.

They don’t get much attention, but it’d be cool to see some 9ft tall guy in a cloak as a nod to them.

Hey, says a mod edited my post but the post isn’t changed. ???

Because it’s a video game and it’s meant to be fun. If “Lore” prevents fun, then lore can be ignored.

There would be plenty of Lore ways to have Space Marines involved. As some one before mentioned: Deathwatch is a thing, as are Librarians too and with the number of psykers in our part of the ship, it’d make sense to have some big guns around incase there’s an incident

Hmm, I am really enjoying the face we have a Guard based game, so for me having a space marine around will lessen that feeling a bit. Maybe they could put a dead one somewhere in a level, surrounded by a LOT of enemy corpses, just to highlight the danger of that area.
