Yes QOL stuff is a good one that I forgot. Just integrating a few of the mods would be nice and the work is already done. Theyād just need to port and QA.
Performance optimization would be aceā¦ tired of clocking 50-60 FPS during stress situations (loads of mobs, particles, lighting going on during the course of combat engagements) that doesnāt play like itās actually 50-60FPS
And no, this isnāt an FSR 3.1 frame gen issue (I donāt run it as it doesnāt work), this is the game itself. Iāve run with DLSS and without and this keeps happening under stress.
Frame pacing/timing issues are abundant when hits the fanā¦ Thereās also been some weird āsliding/stickingā thing going on when hordes are dead but for some reason still acting like theyāre āholdingā the player. Feels like youāre just stumbling around.

Actually, I have so lowered settings that I have enemies that literally appear in front of me. Like you run and think there is no enemy, then you see a line of gunner that are firing at you (hopefully when it happenned I was on the ranged immune buildā¦ so they did not hurt me :P)ā¦
enemies spawning from nowhere is not due to performance since it is all handled by the server regardless of your components.
recently with these updates they broken how enemies spawn and are visible by players
for example, the most visible example is at end event smelter, when the gate opens, itās empty at first, but after few seconds, enemies will appear from nowhere. i even see them spawning.
different maps have this thing.
itās just broken spawns because, when smelterās gate was opening prior to these updates, there were never enemies there, it only happened when they added few enemies there.
however, when you go forward and when you see enemies appearing atā¦ 2meters of youā¦ I am pretty sure this is cause I have everything at low settings.
To explainā¦ my motherboard lacks one power connectorā¦ this is the best I could find cause my processor was old (11900k). Now, imagine how this has restricted my CPU/GPU that I have the extra pin connector missingā¦
The difference is, with it, I was on high quality, without I am at lowest settings I can (and still with graphical problems like slower animations sometimes)ā¦

Back on the topicā¦ Darktide needs optimizationā¦
Like cached things. There is no cache usedā¦ and we all (at least the players with mods) get out of memory errors when browsing equipment / market.
And this is not a secret that several players suffers from the lack of optimization.
I must say that my situation is not the same and Darktide is not the cause of my low settings. But out of memory bug I have got. Ray tracing, I can use it in other gamesā¦ not in darktide. etc.
First and foremost maps, maps, and MAPS !!! ā¦ Also Maps ! Did i say I want more maps ?
In Carnival, Omega 12 or new area whatever but the game clearly need content ā¦ starting with maps.
Then yes weapons is always good especially for the big man since nobody want to share his stuff (too heavy and cumbersome they said ā¦) but also what i want to see in the future is new character archetype, i still hope to see my fallen Skitarii joining the Inquisition soon or other faction of the imperium.
Commissary need to have fresh stock ā¦ unlike the traitor who take care of it. Not everybody want to spend overpriced Aquilas for the drip since we still canāt farm them overtime ingame.
New enemy faction like Genestealers would be great but please donāt make them allies with the Nurgle cult, in fact make them fight if they encountered each others ā¦ and donāt make any last minute questionable decisions when you want to implement a new faction unlike the beastmen of Vermintide 2, listen to your beta testers Fatshark, we donāt want another āWinds of Magicā scenario !
Also new enemies and variants are always welcomed to be slain in the name of the God Emperor !
all you mentioned here, especially the maps and enemies. as varied playing the same map can be, we know them by heart at this pointā¦ and didnāt fatshark originally say something about adding a new map per month? imagine we had 20 more maps today. they have all the prefabs (door, stairs, fences etc), itās probably not that hard to add just a map per quarter. and with some variation. iād like the snowy gloriana theme continued. vermintide 2 looks surprisingly pretty and varied in comparison.
add the moebian horde and a possible new enemy faction. i donāt understand why the moebians remained a temporary addition only when everyone liked them. they could at least return as map modifier.
and of course, let us finally play what map, difficulty and modifier we want. see how weāre slowly getting rid of the unspeakable RNG in the game.
btw, for the moment iād be very happy to see a few things:
get rid of the game freezing at the scoreboard / end of game screen and especially that āhanging in orbitā screen. itās horrible when you donāt know how long it will hang and often itās quicker to alt-f4 and restart the game. wouldnāt it be quicker to just put the player in the mourningstar (itās a quite small map) and populate it later?
whatās wrong with ogrynās cluster bomb and rumbler? i have a 7800x3d and a 4090 and the game still stutters when someone fires them.
rework smite into something more sensible than āpause the gameā with a longer cooldown, a and make soulfire less obnoxious. having a psyker with shield, soulfire and purgatus on the team means a blue screen for the next 30 minutes. just make them glow blue from soulfire like theyāre glowing green from nurgle blessing.
I still canāt believe we have that freezing at the end of the game issue. Itās like they think these issues are normal and they say āehh the playerbase can deal with it, we got uninspired cosmetics to makeā lmao
Destroyable enemy armor (Eliminate rending and brittleness as whole and birth something actually cool and indepth) and turbo increased blood gore and dismemberment etc etc I made 900 threads already I donāt feel like typing everything again
Mission select and workable offline (I donāt wanna play getting rubber banded all over the place like Iāve been this month) and armor painting/forthedrip mod functionality but serverside so I can change my outfits gloves and so on
my enjoyment of this game has tanked so hard i canāt even play a match
something i REALLY hope that they do is just let us change the sights and specials on our guns, iām sick of just using the flashlight, i want a bayonet or at least the bash.
