Why do I give a rat’s ass what melee weapon my party is using in a predominantly ranged weapon FPS?

DO I care that the psyker is using a force sword or a pointiy dueling foil?
Do I care if that fat boy is using a sword and board or a cleaver?
Do I care if the sharpshooter is using a powersword or a frozen Frikkin tuna?

No. No I do not.
I want to know what ranged weapons are being used.
For the love of god, no one cares about melee weapons, they have limited reach.

I want, no need to know what ranged weapons are being used by the squad.
Please change the mission load screen to show ranged weapons instead of melee weapons. Then I’ll know you’re serious about making a WH40K game, as opposed to some kind of WHF knockoff.

There is a mod that allows you to make everyone swap weapons back and forth.
An other mod shows the full loadout in text form.
If you are willing to use mods, this is the band aid fix for the problem.

The functions of both of the mods should be included in the base game though.

Interesting that via mod you can see there are stance animations with range weapon when you press ready, like it was planned, but…

Yeah… Mods are … like asking for divine intervention.

Sure you could. And you might get it.
But it’s no excuse for managerial incompetence.

The beta ready screen showed ranged weapons, but was changed to melee weapons for who knows what reason.

imagine having button that would allow to switch between mele and ranged stances. if only somone was listening to our ideas
