Alright, so let’s have a decent conversation regarding the validity behind the Players being awarded with the Ignatus Power Armor that is commonly used among the Inquisition’s forces, the theory behind and possible balancing of Space Marines that are known to work along side the Inquisition, and the Adepta Sororitas Sisters of Battle that have frequented work with the Inquisition.
First let’s talk about the Ignatus Pattern of Power Armor; People have brought up the fact that players are former convicts and thus would never be granted such a tool, but here’s a counter for that. The Imperium isn’t opposed to utilizing convicts and equipping them with the latest tools and armor. Take the Night Lord Space Marines, their forces were primarily recruited from the prisons on their home planet, and although they turned traitor they were extremely effective in combat. During the game you prove you’re a loyalist of the Imperium and earn the trust of your Inquisitorial masters. So it’s not a stretch to think eventually they’d be granted the right to wear the Ignatus Pattern. As for the validity of the cost, the Ecclesiarchy gives the Inquisition a stupid amount of funding for their work, so affording to equip promising operatives isn’t an issue.
Next let’s speak of the Adeptus Astartes, there are multitudes of times where a Space Marine has worked alongside the Inquisition, and many of them stay on inside as they work to hunt heretics, if they were to be added to the game as a playable class genderlocked like the Ogryn they would have to be made to be tanky with a much larger healthpool to reflect their durability in battle, and perhaps given a perk that gives them an adept status for use of Boltguns and Flamers allowing for faster reloads. Space Marines could get a class ability that allows for them to break free of grapples like the electric nets, pox hounds pouncing, mutant tackles, so on and so forth.
Finally let’s touch the Adepta Sororitas, the Sisters of Battle can be frequently seen working in the Inquisition as Heretic and Daemon hunters braving countless battlefields in the name of the God Emperor. Though not as tanky as the Space Marines they’d still be able to take more hits before being brought down. Much like the SM they would likely have an adept usage for Boltguns and Flamers. As for their class ability the Sisters have a deep seated belief in the God Emperor leaving a possibility for a self revive when downed.
