Some of these are mostly just for testing purposes, like the speed meter and the show crit chance one, but others like the Constant_FOV one is basically essential for me to play without feeling like i am about to throw up.
Markers AIO by Alfthebigheaded is configured to have objective carryables only be made visible with line-of-sight, to avoid seeing where they are before their containers are open.
I also use Solo play, Creature spawner and Healthbars plugins for testing some things once in a blue moon, but I don’t keep them loaded always.
I’ve cut my list down to ~70 and I am trying to get it lower. Here are some of the QOL mods:
QOL:
BornReady – to skip the after-mission screen.
Default to Strike Team Chat – haven’t had the broken chat bug since I installed this. Might be placebo but it’s been a year without the bug.
Talent Tree UX – lets you change individual talents without resetting the whole tree.
All the various Guarantee mods to fix dropped inputs.
Valkyrie Blitz Ingress – based on ZipIt, shortens mission loading screens by turning off the audio briefing.
Weapon Filter – provides buttons for filtering your inventory by weapon type.
Auto Backup – backs up my settings every session.
I also made Ring HUD, MoarDots, Better Loadouts and YesTakeCandle so I am probably one of the few mod-users that does not have Numeric UI or More Characters and Loadouts installed.
Try “Disablescreeneffects” if you have not, the mod is a bit wonky sometimes as it has like 100 something settings to turn off or on, but i think i saw a setting to remove the “Taking damage” effect, and that might be what you are looking for.
Either way its a nice mod to have for clearing away some of the visual clutter of the game.
I’m surprised I haven’t seen DirectToHadron (+ Retain Selection) mentioned anywhere in this post so far it’s one of the QoL mods that I can’t do without.
Right now…nothing, have had some weird issues of late so been playing “au natural” so to speak.
Typically however…
LogMeIn (**** your “press space” bull****, just load the ****ing game when I tell the program to open, how ****ing hard can that be, especially after you hamfist a ****ing launcher in after I already first tell Steam or a desktop icon to ****ing open the game. Yes I’m particularly spicy about this)
BookFinder (I literally can’t hear the hissing sound most of the time due to hearing damage)
MyFavorites (helps inventory organizing)
PsykaniumInvHotkey (why do I need a mod for this?)
FullAuto (clicky finger gets less tired)
PlayerOutlines (less time spent finding lost pals and confused randos, or myself on occasion).
I used to run Scoreboard but haven’t super recently, just not been interested in numbers. I can’t recall what others I’ve used in the past right now however.
this has been me for like a year now because I can’t be bothered updating my mods lmao. Otherwise before that I’d run scoreboard and weapon customization
Yeah, the whole updating process can be a bit of a pain in the ass, my mod list used to be a lot more extensive, but i pruned it down to more essential QOL stuff for the same reason.
