Whenever i read the mod talks on this forum i see most people using tops 2-5 mods. Im just curious if its just my imagination or its actually how things are.
Btw it would be better if you voted how many mods you actually are using/make use out of. If you for example downloaded the meatgrinder but havent used it even once for a whole year, you shouldnt count it.
I use like 25 but I’ll list the ones I actually consider important for my enjoyment of the game, in roughly order of importance:
Psych Ward (skips all morning star trash)
More Characters and Loadouts (for the loadout part)
Disconnect (leave infinite loadscreens)
CreatureSpawner (for actually getting to test stuff)
ManyMoreTry (solo and mission select with friends)
LoadoutNames (so I can actually remember hwat the loadouts were for)
rest is whatever for me. I can deal with not knowing if my teammates run a grenade or throwing knives, for example, it’s just a bit inconvenient. Scoreboard and stuff are nice too. These ones enable me to actually play the game the way I want though
I have 10 mods and literally all they do is just minor tweaks to the game that Fatshark should’ve fixed a long time ago.
Sorted mission grid, better comms wheel, scoreboard, killfeed improvements and true level etc.
The only gameplay effecting mods that I have are chatblock (Enter in-game chat and your operative will hold block) and Super Impact for more ragdolls.
that is another discussion I think everyone’s camp has been firmly established in by now, no need to indulge it any more. I also run a lot of mods, trying to stay close to what I feel is a vanilla experience for environment/combat oriented info and cues in game. but testing stuff, solo play, skipping the morningstar - you can pry these from my karking dead fingers. as well as 3rd person for looking at the cosmetics I bought. So. 80+?
The poll isnt about if you use mods or not. Or if mods are useful or not, or if they’re cheating or not.
The poll is only aimed at people that do use mods, only to check how many they’re using. That’s all.
And i made this thread with the sole and only purpose to check who’s right in here :
(and considering the results so far it seems like i was the delusional one, but i’d rather wait till 50-ish votes before i declare myself the loser :<)
" POLL : how many mods are you actually using?"
implies somewhat, that you aren’t asked, if you are not using Mods.
That’s not the matter of this topic.
I have the feeling that some people have an itch to make this topic
about the whole “Mods are Cheats” thing again.
Most of the mods I run are basically UI/UX fixes, only a couple directly gameplay related. Much more than this starts to become more trouble managing than it’s worth.
