Possible Uncommon Common enemies Idea

With the introduction of the 21st event. It reminded me a lot of the uncommon-common injected in L4D2 that are evironment specific.
Examples would he hazmat zombies at outbreak centers that are immune to fire, swat zombies that are bullet proof from the front and commonly seen ae police barricades, or construction zombies which are immune to pipe bombs due to their headphones.

So here’s something Darktide could possibly do (and in a way, has already done with fancy groaners in the higher levels of the hive), introducing uncommon-common groaners and shooters.

An enemy type we already have is the 21st event groaner, which could spawn in areas that the 21st have failed at securing.

A possible idea for another would be groaner Enforcers, sporting fully carapace armor, and spawning infrequently during missions where you traverse through an Enforcer station.

Another would be a infected inquistion infiltrator, always carrying a stim and a box, and running away once engaged, similar to L4D2 infected survivor zombie.

This is just food for thought, giving few examples that I personally think would improve gameplay diversity and environmental story telling.

Please let me know what you guys think!

While i think groaners with carapace armor seem a bit too dangerous for our fellow devil claw players, i think having more sub-types of units is pretty fun.

I hope we get to keep the armored groaners we have now and have some of them mixed in the future hordes.

But then, if the choice is getting more Nurgle units or a new faction… the Tyranids would be my choice.

Still love the idea and hope we get something like that someday

my idea is a bulwark but with two shields.
it doesnt stagger and only does push attacks have fun!!!

someone’s been playing dark souls, eh?

as for fresh meat on the platter, some rejects killed 1 million heretics.

khorn must be getting “khorny” by now.

guess no-one’s got the balls to go full slaneesh tentacle tunnels, so maybe tzeentch gets bored and spawns in a few of those pinky demons?

whats the common 40k escalation time for all of the big boys getting pissed enough for full exterminatus ?

I like this idea, but the only way to kill it should be by ledging with barrels, and they should always spawn in a pack of a dozen.

A traitor captain that spawns in with a squad of elites would be neat. Kind of like some sort of elite reinforcements modifier? I always found it funny how Wolfer complains about casualties and the VI’s constant failure to kill just 4 dudes/dudettes yet he just keeps sending grunts.
