Please bring back all the old maps and cosmetics. It would add so much life to the game.
Only thing I don’t want the devs to work on is versus.
Sorry, guys, but WoM is a pretty significant mess. Before WoM the versus mode was just a thing I didn’t care about but thought “eh whatever”. Then this came out and all the revelations about how much of a time investment it is to get anything and I’m basically begging them to not waste another second on it. There is no way a versus mode will ever be playable in this lifetime and work on it apparently means less time making maps and stuff.
Trait and Property balancing: Because it’s high time to tweak both of these things where most of the Traits or Properties are either ignored or deemed as less useful compared to the usual.
New Maps: Fatshark needs to come up with a system to pump out maps faster or release a Map Editor. A shame they want to invest money and resources in PVP as opposed to further fleshing out the pve content creators so we can get said content faster.
System Reworks (Deeds, Crafting): Heroic Deeds - you should either be able to view them in the Lobby or Que into them by having some sort of Checkbox to include Heroic Deeds. Heroic Deed modifiers could also be spruced up to be more interesting but not ridiculous like “darkness”.
Weekly Events should give a one time bonus either of Red Dust, multiple chests depending on difficulty, or a once in awhile Cosmetic (artists should have kept pumping out cosmetics as a stockpile imo). Modifiers could also be looked at as some are just obnoxious to deal with.
Crafting. Re-rolling shouldn’t include what you already have on the item which would lessen the RNG in getting what you want. There should be more uses for Crafting Materials either pertaining to Cosmetics (again the stockpile), Keep decorations or directly influencing the levels that you play in some way.
Fix all the damn bugs they fixed before and have now just reintroduced.
Fix… the… jank
Bugs, why wasn’t bugs listed. Fix the damned bugs.
And the poll in FS office…
- VS mode
- Bugs
- Cosmetics
- Maps
Because, as I said in the opening post, I assumed that’d be on just about everyone’s list and would take the first spot automatically, and I felt it’d be kind of redundant having that kind of option. It’s certainly something that needs to be done before any serious balancing takes place, be it for Beastmen, general difficulty, Talents, or something else, as the bugs are a big part of what’s throwing the general balance off right now.
Yeah, I honestly don’t know where all those speed buffs to the enemies came from. Could work on cata, but really, why?
Hp increased, but with stagger bonus damages it means no difference between now and before. Legend didn’t change with the patch, what did change is players who where able to clear it easily moved up and those who had reached legend because it was way too forgiving stayed. Before the patch legend so could already be a pain because of some players would do huge mistake. But with some characters, you could fix these mistakes.
But once you experience one of the multiple bug plaguing the game atm, yeah that increase the difficulty
Yeah, no. No buts. The core statement, that HP increase it over 2 times more than stated in patchnotes.
Bulls**t.
Not only that, Mass increase across the board on enemies and stagger resistance introduction or increase.
This is partly true, but what about enemies’ faster animation and attack speed? Or higher damage? Nothing in the mechanic or hero power changes makes that balanced.
I agree that the bigger problem is the sheer amount of bugs, but these two changes I mentioned are also to blame: they make dodge (even more than intended) and block harder, make CC more difficult, with the second line of a wave attacking you before your first attack’s animation is over, they reduce stamina value and make UC in particular hell to play.
Legend is by no means how it used to be.
PS i don’t think most of the legend players moved to cata, as every single one of them would need WoM to play it, and qp cata queues are pretty empty from what I hear
Mass and stagger could arguably be down to hero power increase as well.
But the rest is pure sigmarite truth.
Bugs, gameplay and finally talent fixes. After that i think you can start concerning yourself with other things but right now its inexcusable how bad the game sometimes feels to play due to myriad of bugs (some new some old) and broken gameplay mechanics.
After that i honestly don’t care what new content or fixes they focus on i just want some resemblance of what we had back.
How about including bug fixes?
Game is in practically early alpha stages.
Oof, that’s a tough one. I’ve written suggestion topics or large suggestion comments on every single one of those. How can you ask me to choose between my children?
I’ll try to pick my top 3 of all my topics and justify them. I’m gonna say flat-out that I can’t pick 3 poll options alone since each of my topics straddle at least 2 or 3 of these each.

Let’s fix the crafting system to be kinda like Weaves (also traits and properties suggestions) - System reworks.
-
To quote myself:
-
I feel like this is probably my most important thread out of the bunch that blows the other three out of the water in terms of how important it is to the game. The crafting system is a festering wound at this game’s very core
-
-
Crafting is probably the worst game system as is right now. It immediately turns everyone off from the game when they first interact with it. Explaining crafting to a newbie friend is the worst experience in this game.
-
The Weaves already have a halfway-done implementation of a new crafting system, so it should, in theory, be not terribly hard to port over some of that code assuming it’s not written like spaghetti… which it probably is
-
It could help bridge the gap between the base game and Winds of Magic, which exists as its own crappy island that you never want to go to.
-
I know there’s trait reworks in that post, but purely by just changing crafting, that becomes a weapon rebalance by opening up new possibilities for loadouts like in the Weaves.

Back to Bögenhafen (Fixes + Content Update Suggestions) - Other (fix the maps + misc content)
-
This was the original thread I made, so it’s my most precious one to me.
-
Fixing Bögenhafen shows Fatshark is willing to go back and fix DLC content with relatively minor adjustments, so it demonstrates through actions, not words, that they’re going to fix WoM. If the fixes for Bögenhafen are good and they added more content in a free update, I’d have more faith in Fatshark that WoM will eventually be good.
-
Bögenhafen has much greater story potential than BtU (“hey it’s illusion magic, here’s a fancy dwarf rock”) or WoM (“hey it’s an arcade ladder with no story, have fun!”) that could be expanded upon with further content.

Back to Drachenfels feat. Geneviève Dieudonné (DLC suggestion) - New maps + new hero
-
It earned me my first and only platinum on reddit, so that shows to me that the ideas are actually decent if someone wanted to pay money to super-like them instead of buying a $5 box from Taco Bell with a large Baja Blast freeze or instead of buying a Vermintide 2 DLC.
-
Drachenfels is the first V1 DLC, as well as the most original, in terms of setting, so it makes sense to go back somehow.
-
I really like new maps, and I really like new story threads instead of just illusion bullcrap so there’s justification to go back and have things be very different.
-
I really hate Catrinne’s fake voice and personality, and I am going to be very disappointed in Fatshark if that really is how they wrote her character to genuinely act, instead of it being a facade.
-
Geneviève as a hero makes sense, moreover:
- She’s already referenced by Lohner in V2 keep dialogue
- She ties into Drachenfels (she’s from a novel of the same name), so she connects well with that setting as a new campaign.
- She would complement the rest of the cast’s dialogue due to being a heretic, an 800-year-old vampire, a girl, and a Bretonnian since every cast member has something to talk about with her.
- Making a new character allows more creative freedom in experimenting with new talents and new ideas already seen in the 2nd talent rework, but without the risk of ruining an already-beloved career with new talents.
-
TL;DR
- System rework (crafting)
- Fix old maps to show that DLC can actually be improved post-release
- New maps, which are entirely separate efforts than 1 and 2 so they can be developed concurrently, tbh. Map artists and level designers are separate roles than the devs cleaning up old, moldy spaghetti out of the fridge. (also new character because again, animators + artists are separate roles)
Also I’m fairly convinced that @SmokerT69 has a script or bot that just automatically searches for the phrase “Geneviève Dieudonné” to like posts on this forum lol.
What’s that, did someone say Geneviève Dieudonné?
I think everyone knows where I stand on a new character
Mass of marauder went up to 7.5 from 6 that’s 25% increase. I was kinda too lazy to do same thing I did with HP value comparison. I’ll see if there’s an easy way.
Look we all know you want a skink. And 100% of Vermintide’s playerbase agrees that the addition of said skink should take priority over any content currently being worked on. So ya know hopefully before the end of the year…
