Oof, that’s a tough one. I’ve written suggestion topics or large suggestion comments on every single one of those. How can you ask me to choose between my children?
I’ll try to pick my top 3 of all my topics and justify them. I’m gonna say flat-out that I can’t pick 3 poll options alone since each of my topics straddle at least 2 or 3 of these each.

Let’s fix the crafting system to be kinda like Weaves (also traits and properties suggestions) - System reworks.
-
To quote myself:
-
I feel like this is probably my most important thread out of the bunch that blows the other three out of the water in terms of how important it is to the game. The crafting system is a festering wound at this game’s very core
-
-
Crafting is probably the worst game system as is right now. It immediately turns everyone off from the game when they first interact with it. Explaining crafting to a newbie friend is the worst experience in this game.
-
The Weaves already have a halfway-done implementation of a new crafting system, so it should, in theory, be not terribly hard to port over some of that code assuming it’s not written like spaghetti… which it probably is
-
It could help bridge the gap between the base game and Winds of Magic, which exists as its own crappy island that you never want to go to.
-
I know there’s trait reworks in that post, but purely by just changing crafting, that becomes a weapon rebalance by opening up new possibilities for loadouts like in the Weaves.

Back to Bögenhafen (Fixes + Content Update Suggestions) - Other (fix the maps + misc content)
-
This was the original thread I made, so it’s my most precious one to me.
-
Fixing Bögenhafen shows Fatshark is willing to go back and fix DLC content with relatively minor adjustments, so it demonstrates through actions, not words, that they’re going to fix WoM. If the fixes for Bögenhafen are good and they added more content in a free update, I’d have more faith in Fatshark that WoM will eventually be good.
-
Bögenhafen has much greater story potential than BtU (“hey it’s illusion magic, here’s a fancy dwarf rock”) or WoM (“hey it’s an arcade ladder with no story, have fun!”) that could be expanded upon with further content.

Back to Drachenfels feat. Geneviève Dieudonné (DLC suggestion) - New maps + new hero
-
It earned me my first and only platinum on reddit, so that shows to me that the ideas are actually decent if someone wanted to pay money to super-like them instead of buying a $5 box from Taco Bell with a large Baja Blast freeze or instead of buying a Vermintide 2 DLC.
-
Drachenfels is the first V1 DLC, as well as the most original, in terms of setting, so it makes sense to go back somehow.
-
I really like new maps, and I really like new story threads instead of just illusion bullcrap so there’s justification to go back and have things be very different.
-
I really hate Catrinne’s fake voice and personality, and I am going to be very disappointed in Fatshark if that really is how they wrote her character to genuinely act, instead of it being a facade.
-
Geneviève as a hero makes sense, moreover:
- She’s already referenced by Lohner in V2 keep dialogue
- She ties into Drachenfels (she’s from a novel of the same name), so she connects well with that setting as a new campaign.
- She would complement the rest of the cast’s dialogue due to being a heretic, an 800-year-old vampire, a girl, and a Bretonnian since every cast member has something to talk about with her.
- Making a new character allows more creative freedom in experimenting with new talents and new ideas already seen in the 2nd talent rework, but without the risk of ruining an already-beloved career with new talents.
-
TL;DR
- System rework (crafting)
- Fix old maps to show that DLC can actually be improved post-release
- New maps, which are entirely separate efforts than 1 and 2 so they can be developed concurrently, tbh. Map artists and level designers are separate roles than the devs cleaning up old, moldy spaghetti out of the fridge. (also new character because again, animators + artists are separate roles)
