Please, tweak these features of the vet class they're a genuine problem

:point_up:t3: This.

Great even if not spamming it. Using it pre-emptively for a fight, and during anything generally bigger than a few straggling pox bursters.

It resets by default every 30 seconds, and that’s excluding cool downs. Shields against unlucky chip damage. Ace against surprise pox bursters. Has stagger for area clear.

IDK. Over time I’ve come to think cloaks are traps for anything other than easy terminal hacking. It’s one of the few penances I’ve pretty much refused to do on my zealot as I dislike it so much. And I did run a raking fire build on vet with the cloak for a while, 'til I realised dumdum from the front was better pretty much in every respect.

As a stealth Veteran, I believe this is highly debatable.

I use stealth primarily because it fits my Tallarn’s RP (as @Khorne_Dawg knows), but there are definitely situations where stealth is useful, such as during minigames, reviving, clutch resurrecting, breaking aggro from a Gunner Squad or a Rager Squad running you down so you can flank them, but even as a stealth main, I’d put VoC leagues above stealth in general usefulness.

Yellow toughness for your entire team, CC with knockdown/back, can protect your squad from Poxbursters, Flamer fire, Green Poxbombs, and create space if your team get locked down.

So, while I can use stealth effectively in several of my games, VoC is a vastly superior alternative because it affects your entire squad and provides far more applicable answers to problems.

I remember before the nerf on VoC and being in a four man Veteran team… the bodies we buried that day built the foundation of what we are today…

Edit: I just wanted to add that, in my opinion, VoC is on the point of being too good (even now), and there are definitely certain concepts and ideas that should be consideree to balance VoC against the other options.

I posted what I wanted to say. I have no expectation. You guys enjoy your game.

yes the usual ‘skill’ argument that is literally hinged on ‘but I need to turn off the enemies to really cook and do these plays’. right. on. keep on shining in the spooky blackness

“Buff Voice of Command” is definitely one of the sillier takes I’ve seen here in a while. Even disregarding the stealth comparison (I and sympathetic to people defending stealth, I think its merits are way under rated around here), I just can’t take the idea that VoC isn’t an S tier ability seriously at all.

Other points are sure whatever, mostly stuff that’s been said plenty. Exe is the weakest Ult option. Keystones are kinda niche and often not worth the point expenditure. I do think MF is pretty ok nowadays (on one of the few ranged weapons that get a good boost out of it). Crouch walking is a meme, and you shouldn’t need to do that at all to get decent uptime on it with the buffed durations. CIAG and laspistol can both build stacks very fast and maintain them pretty well. It is definitely very niche though.

Well, I really often play stealth. And I perfectly know what you can do with it.
But, while MarxistDictator said it a little rude, I have to agree with the general idea behind his post.
And that’s why this is, for sure, the strongest talent of the veteran, and I think surely one of the strongest of the entire game.

VoC permits to support all your teammates by giving +50 toughness. Even without using this talent, VoC permits to interrupt any enemy in its range (and why I would not take the revive talent). And this is incredibly strong. Combined with damage boost bonus, this can be great.
But what is really strong is the fact you interrupt the enemies and knock them down.

And what is said here is true. VoC is a support ability, while the stealth is a personal ability.

And that’s really sad they messed the veteran talent tree for… that

I definitely like double stealth and the -90% threat modifier is choice. It is an extremely good loadout in the modes specialists let you loop that -threat period.

But that’s also where Voice of Command is literally brain dead if you manage to get even half the specialist kills by comparison, on top of buffing your team and compressing your node choices down the most powerful ones in the tree only. Even when I play solo I use Voice of Command. Its that good, probably a big reason behind them putting guard rails everywhere on old maps because of the easy yeeting.
