Please for the love of god give us red weapons

The point is that they released the weapons with a stat bar from 0-100, but we can only go as high as 80. That means that whatever effort and grind to get mats and blessings you put into it now, you will always know that at some point, all your stuff will be completely obsolete. For some that doesn’t matter, and powercreep is expected in some games. For others, it makes it feel pointless to work towards the current ‘perfect’ weapon.

It doesn’t help that they released them this way, either. If we didn’t have power budgets for instance, this would be way less of an issue. You’d just be happily working towards a 380 or 400 or whatever was the current max, and all 380 of X weapon would have exactly the same stats. No damage on a range or anything. Then in six months when 500 rating released, ok fine, work towards that.

The fact that you can see that your kit is, at most, 80% of the intented max, probably makes this issue bigger for quite a few people.

It’s not just that the loot is stingy. If you check the shop every hour (on website or whatever), you actually end up with a pretty large pool of loot. The RNG is so incredibly atrocious in this game that you would need to be showered with 50-100 weapons per match to have a hope of finding something you wanted.

That is a very theoretical view at things. Not sure how about you but I play 2 hrs a day maybe 4 in the weekends. I will not start he game unless I want to play it, so for me and I believe many others it is not 24 rotations of the shop per day
The rng on rng is a big problem though. As I mentioned, no way to target what you want is a bummer.

I suspect that they planned to introduce weapons with higher modifiers later.
I have a 385 modifiers weapon with my zealot. I was surprised to see that.

Of course no one checks the shop every hour of the day, but people have done the math on the RNG. In the current system you really would need to be completely showered with weapons to have hope of getting what you want. Especially if you play ‘normally’. I mean 2 hrs a day on just one game is still actually quite a lot for someone with work and family etc.

“Yes i am talking about 100% perfect stats, 500 base rating red weapons.”

From your post. But I’m happy to talk about other things if you like. Like I said, I even agree with the other elements of your post.

From what I’ve seen on reddit etc, those are all bugs. If you actually add up the stats, they will be 380ish. I’ve seen crafting upgrades both increase and decrease the base rating of the weapon, without actually changing any stats.

Yeah, I think we generally mean the same just go about it from different angles.
Of course it would be great if there were some level limits that for example you cannot roll base modifiers lower than 340 when you are lvl 30 etc.
Then again some more selection in what you get, more rewards from Emperor etc. All would be nice additions.

Any system that gives you upgrades for hundreds of hours of play is grindy if you view progression as a race to run the game out of ways to reward you for playing.

Upgrading weapons by leveling shouldn’t be the only way to get an amazing weapon, it would just be a sort of backup plan that makes sure that if you dedicate your time to a certain loadout you are guaranteed to end up with the most refined and powerful gear for it.

I will post this afternoon the picture of my 385 weapon

Yea i love these types of upgrades where when you play more your power grows over time. I know people dont like rng but there is good ways to do rng like lost ark style upgrades where the longer you play the less rng.

Oh I agree that getting rewarded for completing missions would be nice. You know, like almost all games of this type :stuck_out_tongue:

It would also help alot if the armory didn’t have such a huge range of rating it could roll, or that 360-380 is so absurdly rare.

Im not sure where the confusion is. Yes i want

but

Happy to be proven wrong! If actual non-bugged 385s exist, then the current system makes even less sense.

To be honest I was expecting that contracts will be working in a way you can target a specific weapon, maybe even a specific roll. As it is now, just a new Currency for another rng shop… such a dissapointment.
For calrification, that expectation was based on pre-release information, just as I was expecting actual attachments on weapons… silly me

The fact that the second shop (with incredibly grindy currency) also only has crap items 99% of the time really is… astonishing. At most it’s just a place to grab high-tier blessings to move to other stuff. The odds of Melk having anything even remotely usable seems just as low as the regular lottery shop.

“Content drop”

I don’t think the ability to boost your weapon modifiers is currently planned (they said as much in the past), but if they do rework things and add that, it may be behind something time consuming like a Chaos Wastes style run.

Doubtful as that’s what was in the game on their end just prior to lunch - they scrapped that obviously as it’s worthless - but it would’ve been nice to have until they have something more fleshed out at least

Look, you don’t get to rewrite the OP’s post for him. That’s just a bait and switch. If the OP asks for a 120 point base rating increase and I think that’s a relevant part of the post, I’m going to comment on it. That’s all. Like I said, we can talk about all the other elements as well, I just took issue with that part of it.
