A war I’ve already lost in my other favorite franchise, Monster Hunter. I was wary, but naive.
No more.
No quarter, lads.

I do, however, strongly disagree with this.
If someone wants to queue for the difficulties they don’t belong, they should look for a pre-made, not the other way around. Also I think it is completely fine to blame the teammates, because an experienced player can easily tell if it was just a bad luck/director screwing the team over or it was a passenger(s) trying to get carried and leeching. There are so many variables in the game and one mistake can cost the run, also just add insane power gaps between meta and off-meta builds, and it becomes obvious why there is an ongoing riot regarding the state of the game, matchmaking and balance ![]()
I wouldn’t mind playing on lower difficulties even through im able to do high Havocs and usually just play auric but lower difficulty also means way to few Enemies and no interesting modifiers; its just boring to play. If it was the same amount of Enemies but less Health on low diffs they’d be actually fun to play here and there even as an experienced player
People often use MH or Warframe as the strawman for “casualfication” of a game. But then there’s the dead games that cattered to the 1% and no one except closed discord groups play anymore and receive barely if any continued support.
GTFO
Chivalry

I’d rather DT gets more popular and “casual” like helldivers 2 bc of what that would mean in the grand scale. More money coming in, numbers go up for investors, meaning more active development, more players to engage/group with, potential sequels etc.
This has to be said too: over the top stuff (Bleed dog bug, rumbler ogryn) should be brought down a little, keyword being a little. If FS does as the “sarcastic” ecochamber people here often preach everything will be brought down to current shredder pistol levels and that wouldn’t be good overall except for said people that prefer a dead game.
You can say duolingo sword 4 and plasma gun took your jobs and killed your dogs all you want, it only comes as disingenuous for more sober people reading from the outside.
commendable but at havoc 40 a tall order ![]()
now i got grudgingly to admit i´m not able to solo havoc 40 as of today, there´s a few examples out there in the 55 to 65 minute range, quite impressive not gonna lie.
ironically going solo from the start is the better one since there´s no one fugging things up and drawing more aggro than you can kite.
thats the thing at its core really, not only being able to “solo” stuff but clean the mess that´s happening right in front of you courtesy of 3 braindead monkeys ![]()
oha
some arbites main here is salty because his bleed nuke dog got nerfed
have you tried drinking 3 white monster energys at once
Good point. I would enjoy just Auric with Havoc intensity and boss spawns, without BS like the Green Men, enemy healing, rituals behind daemonic door, twins, Beast of Nurgle and a gunner platoon.
The mass whining about Helldivers 2 “casualfication” is actually hilarious because Helldivers 2 always was a casual game, it was just grossly buggy and imbalanced. If anyone at any point claimed that Helldivers 2 is “hardcore” it just means they are not good at video games.
4 with that camouflage texture in a row is the max, after that i wont leave the
for “some time” ![]()
oddly enough my taste is off due to chemo meds so various degrees of sugar i either dont taste at all or it literally tastes like
, white one being in the later category ![]()
then again, never having (luckily) taken cortisone in that amount before it really amps me up more than any caffeine ![]()
so 2cans and meds are what my
can take at the moment
you said glhf earlier, shouldnt you be carrying heresy pub runs with your crutch class or smth
all auric titles are undeserved atm, don’t break a sweat
How is a direct example of the phenonmenon a strawman?
It’s much more of a straw man to point to the “dead games that cattered to the 1%” as a refutation of the harm of “casualfication”.
Those games were sold as hardcore for hardcore’s sake and the people looking for that played them. Not a huge market.
If they were “casualified,” that player base goes up and the ones that sought what they were sold would be unhappy. Thanks for making my point I guess?
That’s always the hope, hence the naivete. It’s not like I think I can stop it, but you’re welcome to watch it happen here too.
MH went so hard for the casuals that even they are complaining about the newest game. In the same ways and for the same reasons all of us shunned veteran hunters were when they told us to f off.
When the Wilds expansion sales drop off a cliff from how they messed up to see “numbers go up for investors” we’ll see how that proves out for player base and sequel reception. MH won’t fail that quickly for a number of reasons. But something smaller like DT has less runway.
thats the 3rd reply after you said goodbye
not that it matters but I’m so edgy telling stuff like that
me liking you is like you getting actually good at the game
not very likely
(hihi)
Twins are fine. Beast of Nurgle can f* off lol its my most hated enemy/boss in the game together with bombers
But yeah something like inbetween Auric and Havoc or Enemies with the Health / DMG Output of lower difficulties but the same Intensity of Enemies as in Havoc and some fun Modifiers would be great too
when hd2 was released i honestly tried to get what the fuzz was all about.
EVERY streamer i tried had the respectability and cognitive spectrum of

literally disgusting
HD2 would be cooler if it was First Person. Third Person Shooter are meh unless its like Mass Effect
Mandated edict: You have to eat the biscuit
well that’s a different mindset younger gamers seem to have. for us it was normal that a game is hard and the hardest difficulty is not for everyone. today it’s more this view that why should i put in the work to conquer the game, just make it easier because i’m entitled to clear the highest difficulty. so when every joe gets the tools to clear everything for the sake of achievements, where’s the challenge for those who like to have one.
i ranted here about how oblivious some people are to anything in the game, keep running forward and not look left or right or at any ping. they might have their reasons, like being too busy with their own actions to watch those of others… but tbh, if i’m not fit for a game, i rather scale back a bit until i learn it better rather than make a fool of myself.
It had great gameplay and was just pure fun for a while to just carpet bomb the **** out of bugs with friends. The novelty went away for me and I don’t play it anymore, but the core game is really good.
I was adressing how HD2 and Warframe often used as a strawman by pseudo-hardcore players as games “ruined by casuals”, when in reality these games were casual from the beginning.
Warframe had no build variety up until the recent couple of years (lol ranbow builds followed corrosive/viral + heat + slash for 99% of the game is “hardcore” apparently, while now you can do a lot more with various elemental/skill/arcane combos).
HD2 was probably even more broken than DT on the release, where 80% of weapons were outright unusable and “muh difficulty” came from bugs and cheap mechanics like enemy flamethrower/acid doing up to x6 of intended damage because crappy calculations count damage for each body part separately ![]()
Can’t say for MH because I never played it. That being said, whiny elitists who imagine that every game they play is “hardcore” and blame the evil “casuals” for “ruining” their games while having zero clue about their favorite games in the first place are the bigger parasites than those “casuals”.
