I strongly disagree. Comparing games atm, Vermintide 2 has:
- Better visual clarity
- Better graphics variety
- Better map design
- Better enemy variety
- Better bosses
- Better sound cues
- More varied classes (19, 15 on launch compared to 4)
- More varied weapons (80 and among those around 70 unique ones compared to 60ish but only 30 unique ones in DT)
- Better mission launch system
- Better cosmetics implementation
- Better gear implementation
- Better story
- Better characters and dialogue
- Better lobby
And probably few dozens other things.
The only thing Darktide has going for it right now is its core gameplay and aesthetic - they are very good. But they were equally very good in Vermintide 2, just different.

I donāt understand OPās point either. Devs have said themselves they want to take the best parts of VT2 and port it into DT. In a way, creating āVT3ā but in 40k setting. So basically, yes, Devs were trying to āturn this into V3ā and thatās what we were expecting as consumers.
Instead, they regressed in everything - QoL, crafting, thereās no reward for killing monstrosities, no interesting pick ups (pots of strength, etc), bots you canāt customize and they canāt pick up anything, missing careers, the RNG shop itself is atrocious, no story, rng timed missions, uninteresting character dialogue, etc. etc. Live service is awful too.
DT is truly lacking

Imagine only being allowed to only get one Vermintide 2 loot chest an hour and itās always the same commonerās chest, regardless of what difficulty or how many maps you complete in that hour. Thatās what itās currently feeling like with how the armoury is implemented at the moment.

The rest of us all agree there are problems, just differ in degrees and which things we think are the biggest problem. That said, I am glad you all made your arguments for posterity, even if itās being wasted on these trolls.

Try reaching end game, with every weapon rolling out with a bad or two bad traits, or the stats (modifiers bars) are not filled in the right places.
a Golden Bolter with 80% stability, 78% Reload speed, 80% Mobility.
but a 40% damage, and 57% Stopping power. What weapon is that? a Water Bolter?
all for a cost of 2900 (Sire Melk Currency).
Then you would understand why we need Red Roll.
There is absolutely zero loss in adding reds for everyone to chase, or letting us just work and upgrade our weapons to have perfect stats and the exact perks/blessings we want. The system as is actively makes me play less, and Iāve given up on three of my characters to only focus one.

Will there career progress remained? (Grail knight, Outcast Engineer, SotT, WP) Can we meet Okri finally? Their adventure continues on Old world? Or they will teleport to AOS? Gotrek fought long time in chaos realm, he had chance to go back to past with somekind of magic, but he refused to go, maybe there can be a portal to go future for Ubersreik 5?

You play less and less cause you can have 450 rated weapons doing better job than a 520 ?
Less and less cause FS give you a better pannel choice and dont kill progression with a stuck upgrading system ?

Well I m playing Computer Games since 1997.
In my case its not a matter of ānot wanting to evolveā its a matter of āI know what I wantā.
I supported and will support V2 by buying their DLCs because I like that game.
If Darktide stays as it is, I ll occasionally play it but I m not willing to spend the same amount of money like I do for V2.
And thats just my feedback.
What Fatshark does with this info is up to them.

1,500 hours in Vermintide 2, 222 hours in Darktide. Would be more if I could fully customize my weapons and fine tune my build as easily as I could in Vermintide with reds. But go off, bruh.

I think OP is concerned VT2 vets want DT to be like VT2, problem is we wanted it to learn from the painful lessons and horrible mistakes VT2 made and for DT to be much better.
Unfortunately itās spectacularly worse.

What you dunt understand about ādesignā word ? Yes it is VT core but it is not VT game, not the same at all and thanksfully cause i dont want to stay stuck in the same gametype again again and again for X concecutiv years
DT is amazing, but yall comparing it to VT who s not the same game and get years of devlopmment is really unconstructiv.
IDK, maybe go in cyogenic staz and come back in 4years when the game will be full developed too ?
