Please dont turn this game into V3!

If players are playing on difficulties too high for them, the answer is still not to have a bad itemisation system.

And I just don’t understand the logic in your arguments here. Items don’t matter but player skill does, so we need to prevent players from getting good weapons so they won’t ruin high level games?! They’ll meet their overconfidence soonenough. And you can’t give bad players well-rolled weapons or they’ll use them as a crutch, even though weapons are not nearly as important as player skill?

Look, the more inane posts you make here, the more it becomes clear that your main issue seems to be that you feel that people you deem inferior (“casual bobs”, “mickey mouse”) to your exalted skill level (nice WoW brag, lol) simply don’t deserve good gear, or something. But there is zero internal consistency in your own arguments, and you seem to have zero comprehension of the arguments of others. @Moulinet 's last post is a good reply, but I have little hope that you’re going to understand it.

And

Dude you really sound like someone blaming his own failure rate on other people. Git gud as everyone likes to say nowadys - jeez I hate that phrase.
Also wdym - there are legit issues with the specials right now in the game.

  • Snipers being able to shoot through cover, but you are not.
  • Dogs being way too erratic to anticipate anything.
  • Mutants being able to 180° and effectively being gueranteed to get you during a horde, even if you manage to dodge the charge, as they also are tanky af to boot.
It is not about making enemies easier to deal with, but making their behavior learnable, so that there is experience and skill involved with being able to reliably deal with them. At the moment it feels more like RNG than anything. Their is no skill in RNG only luck. Point and case they are unfair in a lot of situations.

I really don’t get the WOM argument. What exactly does he think happened back then, that supposedly made the game easier or trivial? If anything people back then complained about mobility nerfs.

You are the one who clearly dont understand that not every player out there is the same like you. A big mistake that many people do on and on. What do you think why i always try to play diff4 with randoms, i like challenges. Thats one of the reasons why i play these games.

But that does not mean that it has to be limited to that alone. In Darktide we now have such loot and now it is also part of the game. That means gear is a relevant aspect and ignoring that, is lame to say the least :-/

Have not played the plasma yet. So it cannot either… well I’ll be damned XD

Whatever that is supposed to mean.

Or that…

No, it seems like you do out of a neurotic fixation about gatekeeping difficulties with obnoxious gear requirements.

Ok so we like skill. Gear requirements do not exemplify that. But gear requirements are here now so hurray gear requirements???

So imma try to answer each off you paragraphs:

  1. Yes, but there are a bunch off Warhammer Veterans and they are the ones that will buy every skin in the shop if they feel the game is “worthy”, they are the ones that will keep the live service upp. (I don’t think Farmville, Clash of CLans and them other mobile games loot mechanics are “worthy” for a dope Warhammer game)

  2. True, it is a learning prosess and they “need to” master diff3 before they go further, maby test the waters on low intensity diff 4 to get the feel for it. Usually they get scared on diff 4 and spend the hole mission dead for like 30+ minutes and there is like a 50/50 if me and my friend pull it throgh in the end.

  3. They will try diff 4 and 5 and loose and some off them will be dickish and say “You can’t play this diff with blablabla weapon with blablabal perks”. But as we all might have learned in life, duchbags will be duchbags no matter what. And them having a 400 base rating weapon with two God tier 4 perks and tier 4 blessings menaing a 560 total power rating, will make me saving them 3-5 times a run much more satisfying

  4. The problem is not that we dont have that 560 power rating, it is tha fact that experimenting with weapons perks, blessings and modifiers in general is very hard when it is locked behind random mechanics that as statet multiple times, we have no agency in affecting in any way other than the good ol 24/7 shop check with fat loding times.

  5. It is not about the best weapon rolls, but customisibility and creativity. With the current system players might be enticed to watch YT and reddit for most OP build, insted off trying everything and see what works for them.

  6. nei ( no in my language, with a little tired sigh to follow)
1-20 guys calling the game hard and shooting enemies to stronk are either people who played a lot off Vermintide and they have not adapted to this game yet. Or new players that like to write on the internett.

  7. I get what you are scared off, but i don’t think you meet the issue the “right way”. There are better ways to hinder “casualization” than less than bad loot systems and in general customization.

Yeah i didnt expect more from someone who is so narrow minded. You do not know what it means that not everyone out there isnt like you, wow … :-/

It’s slightly picky in what You can shoot through but most of the scattered Cover and also the “Gather up, Varlets” type of Doors are fair Game.

I am not narrominded. I am simply not logic-proof to the point where I do not see the contradiction between holding skill paramount and putting up gear requirements as you do.

Interesting.
Generally speaking - I think it’s silly to have enemies be able to shoot through stuff you aren’t. Like we are not using different weaponry, so this is just cheating by the AI. Being able to shoot through parts of the enviroment, where it makes sense shouldn’t be bound to specific weapons, if it makes no sense.

The groveling is so palpable in the original post, I can almost taste the dirt.
Citing DT as an evolutionary step in the right direction in comparison to V2, is insane. I cannot think of a single other paid game that incorporates as many F2P/Mobile mechanics into it’s framework as DT does. In the end, someone who doesn’t value their own time will never value the time of others.

Gear is now relevant, excellent. Why is obtaining said relevant Gear completely independent of Playtime, Mission clears or anything else related to the actual Gameplay? I guess gearing up by logging in every Hour is what the skilled Players do now.

No, it’s even funnier. Our friend was bragging about how good he was in World of Warcraft with underleveled gear, as if it had any relevance to the discussion at all.

I can’t prove it but I THINK the Tip of their Rifle sometimes sticks through the Railings and other Cover. It feels like an actual Bug.

Sure why not, because optimal damage rotations stay the same across all levels don’t they… everybody knows that kappa.

Well then I hereby demand phasing barrels for all rejects. The emperor be praised.

Well next time I play I’ll see if I can stick a Lucius Mk3 through thin Cover.

VERMINTIDE requires way more skill than darktide. if you really enjoy the kind of game that you just stay from a far shooting and avoiding enemies then there is a LOT of pve games out there for you, vermintide and darktide bring a unique combatstyle where you can actually be useful in melee in a challenging way, that is what is unique about vtide and darktide otherwise it would be just a pve game like any other. The amount of ranged enemies ruin that melee experience. I’m learning to like it, but Vermintide is the base of Fatshark and is what people always loved about it, Darktide is just having more players because 40K is more popular and because of the type of gamer that likes to just shoot shoot in pve games. Actually thats why every player in Damnation/Heresy lobbies are bad af. Besides, Darktide isnt a looter shooter. Never was, like Taranok said, if we wanted lootershooters we would play Borderlands
