I changed network packet size (smallest)and had some improvement, although it does boot me still fairly often.
Tried changing your Steam networking settings to make it always attempt a direct connection first? In Steam → Settings → In-Game → Steam Networking → change from ‘Default’ to either ‘Always’ or ‘Friends Only’ (if the lobbies you join are hosted by your Steam friends, otherwise prefer ‘Always’). With those settings, Steam will attempt a direct connection first ( which should have lower ping and a more stable connection), and only if the direct connection fails, will it relay the connection to Steam servers.
See this Steam Support article for more info on those settings: Peer-to-Peer Networking and Sharing Your IP Address
I’ll try it, but it seems like a general problem. Lots of people crashing/dcing, complaining about lag, etc.
I’ve never had the thing where you run on the spot for others, but on your end things are ok, but I’ve had it twice now. Both times someone else in the game DC’d while I stayed.
Just today I had a match where two of us lagged and disconnected at the same time.
I’m not able to play because of an Xbox Live connection error, it’s been like this all day, I restart the game and it still gives the same error…
Could anybody experiencing these issues please share with me: your country/state, and the name of your ISP. You can contact me privately if you’re not comfortable posting publicly.
South UK, With Sky Broadband. Three other PC’s here no issues playing Valorant all the time (my kids).
[edit] played Chaos Wastes 2 full runs (long time!) with no issues. Changed to Adventure and had a massive load time - only black screen with spinning Rat Sign in bottom right.
Adventure maps then DC and weird input-lag twice in a single run of Against the Grain. All clients(Including me) connect to a Host in UK.
