People committing sudoku on Skittergate?!

How dare people demand more loot for a map with more risks!
How can they not see the brilliant sceme of having twice the risk with the exact same reward?

Apart from not getting better loot: the final boss fight is long, tedious and not very fun.

If you want to feed your addiction through loot then I suggest you get therapy instead. I’ve noticed a link in people who have unfulfilled lives and wanting loot to make them feel better – kind of like it’s a drug.

Thank you Doctor, what would I do without you?

Never said that. But I am a Doctor irl so

Gonna have to alter what I said earlier…

I think… In order to get people to want to run Skittergate or the Boss Maps… you’d need to offer the bonus equivalent to a Grimoire retrival as a Quickplay bonus out of the Ranaald’s box at the ending of the adventure.

Then I suspect it would make it worth people’s time to run that long of a map with an exceedingly harder challenge at the end.

No.
Give us an extra box or don’t bother at all.

Honestly, I think quickplay should have “no boss” option. Just because some bosses require tech builds (for example, beating Spinemangler with slayer is a misreable expirience) and you can’t just change your outfit once you’re in. In game 1 we had the White Rat level, that was rearly played willingly. You can have fun with hard challengies, but you probably won’t do it everyday.
Also, boss itself was a bloody bugfest. Had a couple runs where he just left the arena, and there were a lot more. They mostly fixed it, but the reputation of “unplayable sihtfest” is here to stay.

What is this? In the last 16 hours nobody has commented that “sudoku” is a numbers game, and that OP means “seppuku”?

Yeah… That was the joke

The map is just tedious, nothing more, and with patrols and specials just popping in and gunners STILL ignoring solid pillars in the arena I dont see a reason why I should waste time on a map that maybe rewards me - and yes, you do it for the loot, stop kidding about heros/maps like Halescourge/Skittergate being fun.
Doesnt help that map rotation thinks that there are like only … 3 maps or something, Skittergate, Skittergate, Hunger, Hunger is quite annoying - atleast Hunger I like.

It would be great to get some more boss fights in the future that arent just tank and spank - give us arenas where we can interact with something, a lever that blocks a spawn point or triggers a trap.
I was so happy to see that you can drop the crane load in “Against the Grain” boss fight by shotting the rope, just to see it does 0 damage.

Not kidding about it, I know more people who like to play those maps for fun/challenge than people who are that obsessed with loot. People have different interests

Heh… nope… I did. Just a couple posts up from you.

omg i did not catch that. lol

What is this hurr-durr’s purpose?
Actually, your entire post is redundand.

Apart from this, extremely neccessary “lol”, loot is a MAJOR THING in this game.
Obtaining new illusions/ cosmetics/ weapon types or simply increasing hero power it’s actually important.
And deeds, things designes SPECIFICALLY to increase difficulty/ provide challenge also drop from boxes.
It’s not 90’s arena shooter where weapons have predetermined spawns on the map.
You have to get them from boxes. Therefore, players want boxes.

Can we have this post removed due to the recent patch?

Fixes / Tweaks

Loot Dice :game_die:

When killing a Lord you will now be rewarded with extra loot dice. The dice will spawn in the center of the lord’s arena.
Killing Skarrik, Bödvar, or Halescourge rewards 2 extra dice.
Killing Rasknitt rewards 3 extra dice.
These dice are in addition to other loot dice you already have collected in the level. So it is now possible to collect up to 5 loot dice on The Skittergate.

Maybe you should consider providing some leadership qualities, and ask them if they want to learn some “new tricks” they may not know about

i do that all the time actually. there are tricks for every map, every boss, every mob. the main problem is that most of the time, people aren’t willing to listen and think they know everything. the best runs i have are when people are willing to cooperate and learn. that’s how I learn as well, from observing and cooperating and weighing decisions. not everyone’s like that, and in fact most people are the people who jump off the skittergate map without even wanting to try. when you run down to get the first tome at skittergate, and suddenly all your team is hanging off the cliff or dead without even waiting for the decision to skip, yea, that kinda sucks.

thankfully, the new loot dice patch made it much better for quickplay, i actually completed 2 legend skittergates on quickplay over the weekend, people were actually hungry for the added loot chance. good change imo.
