Don’t worry, their survival odds are still remarkably low. Just remember, we’re a Guardsmen that survived, not the other 9 that were turned into pulp.
In the item schema for Ogryn currently there’s 6 helmets with these tags, it would be strange to have some paid and some not. Love to be proved wrong, but it seems very jivey to have 6 unlocks with the Moebian 6th theme…because 6.
the only thing i cared about was weapons crafting and some new content… why would i spend ordo dockets on makin my voice change when i dump billions into getting bunk weapons from hadron.
I’d like to change the voice of my Ogryn. Though I would have preferred the crafting revamp.
The character customization that is coming is just another one of those “should already have been in the game”. Anyone who has played a game with character customization for more than 5 hours, will know that you will want to change just about anything on a character at some point. And they always add it at a later date.
To be fair, it can be a design decision to make your character an established thing in the story and thus changing it around not being part of the game.
Darktide isn’t one of those games that has a need to be strict about it, though.
Oh no, I think I see what you mean, as in: they mean it’s a ““set”” of 6 items, because lol Moebian 6, but they’re just 6 Ogryn hats.
Oh hell no, please don’t let that be a thing that would be so lame.
“Story?” What is this, so called “story” concept? I do not believe I have heard of this before.
Certainly not in relation to Darktide!
their stories are advertisements for other warhammer properties in the form of voicelines, cosmetic lore, and 30 second cutscenes
Oh, I believe that’s the name of one of the bosses you kill in the assassin missions, “Stø Reé”.
“Nefarious Gas… Cultist?”
Oi! I wus roight! You’s gonna let dem Vet boys get da armor from da poster art! Wait…dis mean I’m smart now??? Dis mean I get to make a two handed basha now?!
If you want to talk about awkward decisions for a guardsman, so many of the ranged weapons lacking a bash or push is one of the top backward decisions they could have made. Forget about customized sights. Could have just had the melee button be a long hold to turn on or off the light.
Can we get a 16-bit mode so it feels authentic?
As a huge fan of the chaos aesthetic I have to point out his BLIGHT GRENADES and how freaking cool they are.
Gameplay wise yeah its probably gas rat. But gas rat has 12 minutes of voice lines that were never used because the bellows sound cool (thankfully we finally get to hear him talk in VT2 VS).
I replayed the Orthus Offensive today to get a closer look at the grenades Rodin uses, and they sure do look like these blight grenades.
They don’t seem to affect enemies, which separates them from fire (and globe gas if I remember correctly?), which is notable. And the way they deny area is different from fire (delayed until tripped, shorter duration, really fast effect on toughness).
I think it’d be especially cool if there was also a buff to enemies, like the green-eyed effect given to poxwalkers by the large scale gas in the OO, kinda making the grenades/mines like mini beastman banners you have to be smart about detonating-but-also-avoiding.
Looking forward to seeing the implementation!
some people in other topics have mentioned the crafting update, will that be in this update as well? can we get clarification?
That’s shared with tox flamer, which is interesting. The grenade is more like a mine than anything so I’m assuming the bomber would have one with a wider effect and impact detonation or maybe he can peg them at your feet from downtown like the current all star pitcher scab equivalent. Unless he’s the evil midnight bomber that bombs at midnight and just goes nuts with these things like Rodin does on the hard mode.
