(OLD) KNOWN ISSUE: Crashing at Random, Due to GPU-Related Errors

Still crashing after 1.0.7 update today. Updated AMD chipset to 4.11.15.342 with no difference as well with the default setting of 21 threads. Tried 4 thread and still crashed

Hi there,

I continue looking for a solution.
Most posts explain problem with win 11 ( some seems btw to have the same on win10).

We can see a lot of issues with Ryzen 3xxx series.
(Intel 9xxxx to)

Any Ryzen 5xxx or 7xxx users having the same issue?
Or any intel 12xxx or 13xxx users?

Btw, after 30+ crashs, i’ve been avle to go threw the prayers intro vid (guys on their knees). And i’ve been threw 2 missions, and the crashed again in the 3rd.
The only thing that worked for me is limiting fps to 60.
(Rtx off, dlss off, most effect off : blur, reflections,… , 6 cores (14max here))
The game is ugly and not smooth AF but cool end 2 missions.

I wish us all to be able to share a good time fight for the humanity from the chaos hordes…

Let’s go FatShark ! Deploy a solution ASAP ! You can do it guys! (Or won’t survive the chaos incoming)

Just a thought, but is it intended that I can only set between 1 and 4 worker threads on a 6c 6t i5 9600K CPU? I read somewhere that Darktide uses 2 cores/threads by default - in that case this makes sense, but maybe it should be clearly labeled in the settings.

I get crashes about every 3 minutes.
Its is completely random when it happens, both in loading screens, the ship and in missions.
I have tried all of the suggested fixes, and are running the game on a two week old gaming pc with drivers up to date.

And I’ve tried all the “tweaks” and “workarounds” nothing works, sometimes, the game literally starts freaking out before a crash, random weapon swapping, stuttering, like it’s running off spaghetti code. this needs sorting or this rubbish is getting refunded before it bricks my PC :joy:

Since the last patch it’s been crashing all the time, randomly and on any map.
Completely random in time, place (the game even crashed in the scoreboard) or character I play.

I tried all the tips, tweaks, troubleshooting I could find (as well as on this forum) nothing works.

Too bad the game runs very well apart from that.

And I’m sure there are some missing, I had at least 4 times more crashes.

I can’t finish a single mission since the latest patch. Random CTDs 1 to 5 minutes into a game.

Tried every fix nothing works.

Drivers are up to date. I play on a RTX 3090

Same on the worker thread, basically no crashes now. Setting it to 1 has been super stable.

I’ve also noticed quite a lot fewer crashes when frames are lowered below 60. Either highering my graphic settings or capping at 30 works.
