Ogryn Branx: Thrust; too slow to stack

Issue Type (Required):

Blessings

Issue Description (Required):

Thrust with Branx is too slow to be viable with Thrust, I rarely am able to get the modifier: should be sped up 0.5 sec to make it more viable when encountering hordes.
This would massively improve its utility, as currently it is a very subpar blessing due to this. It simply takes too long to charge it.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

Use branx, encounter a horde: see the charge time, for thrust. It is realllyy slow, will get you killed.

Thats the trade off if you wanna 1 shot crushers. You should already know that the branx pickaxe isnt the best horde clearing weapon.

That’s not a bug, that’s a reason to use headtaker + slaughterer instead.

Even more outrageous, this skill must keep the player energized until the character automatically launches a heavy attack animation to take effect
But if players are allowed to control themselves during this period, it is already enough for them to carry out two heavy attacks

Get down Mr. President!!

Seriously though, if you dodge while charging it will help.

OK, not ‘the pinnacle’ of horde-clearing – Karsolas probably has that honour due to horizontal charged heavies. But the Branx has extremely capable horde-clear due to incredible stagger and generous sweep arc. Push attack + Heavy attack is a very easy, very safe, very strong horde tool. It’s got a Heavy + Light combo as well. So yeah, I resent this implication!!! :smiling_face_with_tear:

For bonus area, swing your screen along with the pickaxe – with a single horizontal heavy you can cover a very wide arc. If you time it right then you can just turn and womp the cheeky poxwalker behind you as part of your normal horde rotation, instead of blocking or dodging (though you can dodge too).

Also worth mentioning that Thrust + Slow & Steady has some fun synergy, really making it worth your while to charge up attacks in almost any situation. That said, I’ve been running Thrust + Headtaker (erm, the kills one not the hit one) to great effect lately!

I don’t think that’s a bug
