No April Fools this year?

Neither for VT2 or DT ?

Ain’t worth the inevitable negativity!

It is unfortunately the case. To be candid, we were preparing a joint April Fools but the plan fell through due to some unforeseen circumstances and we didn’t have the time or resources to prepare a proper alternative, so we had to skip for this year.

Is there any news about the 2020 one? I know that seems like a weird question but I remember a comment about it being quite elaborate, but pulled off because the joke was on the lines of “get out and play” and the pandemic made it unadvisable.

@Heretical_Cactus They will be working on SG1 as their next game, the art team fell through.

I can’t remember what we had planned for April Fools’ in 2020 admittedly, but it was called off as it didn’t seem appropriate at the time.

Instead, we did this:

Sounds covid related… was it rat virus?..another covid-related death April 1st joke =(
=p

I mean, if they wanted to make a new game on an Ip that isn’t tied to GW, there still would be choices that I would see as more likely than Star Gate tbh, easier to make work.

Marvel is currently in vogue, surely a Marvel tide game could be done, though how to make it work is something I don’t know really, DC could work just as well, maybe having it set around the Bat kids.

Castlevania would be cool to have a tide game about, would love to see the Mourningstar and whips act as a ‘ranged’ weapon for a Belmont character

Star Wars could be cool, having a tide of Droids against some Jedi, a Mandalorian and more (maybe a Wookiee)
