But muh pve game dont nerf in muh pve game
I must be absolutely terrible, but I feel like I miss a lot when fanning the hammer, even when it’s point blank.
Maybe it’s ghost hitting or I’m just missing for some reason, but I always need one more bullet when blasting a special up close because some of them don’t register as hits, or maybe that’s just in my head.
I don’t mind admitting when I’m wrong, but there are so many times when it feels like the Trapper or whatever it is should have died from the five shots from the fan, only to remain standing.
I don’t know if you’re playing with mods, but for anyone who is and changed their crosshairs: the new revolver has some spread that tightens up after ADS, and if you move it goes goofy again.
In addition, it feels like the raycast (or however they track accuracy) is significantly less forgiving (smaller?) than the OG revolver.
Was your message meant for me? @Badwin
If that’s the case, I have a couple of mods installed because I generally play in third person, though I do play my Ogryn and the new revolver build in default first person mode to improve my aim.
I just had a Maelstrom where I kept hitting each of the five bullets, so maybe something is up with server registration again?
PS: I’m Swedish with Swedish fibre!
Yes, I was offering a potential reason for what I understood the hit reg funk you experienced to be, and then I jumped off to a more general point!
from what ive tested almost positive rending/brittleness doesnt stack like this, it only takes highest on any given talent/blessing combo
example if you have one talent giving 20% rending and another giving 10%, you dont have 30% rending, you still only have 20%, wasting one talent essentially
Saltzspyre is back baby! Yeeeeaaaah!
It requires using an ability and building for it. But damn that’s too strong.
Hand Cannon is a single source of Rending though; before the patch, the 80% Rending would push the revolver’s carapace armor modifier over 100%, so the “excess” applies at a reduced effectiveness.
Bolter? Never heard of her.
I would say the only negative side is the lack of ammo, which lend to players to fighting for ammo bags.
This gun spread like crazy even when crouch lol you practically have to stand still to use it. Idk if I prefer it over old revolver against most stuff.
It work well enough if you use it in melee though.
Edit : it also doesn’t pen through multiple elites or teammate. Oof.
Which to be fair isn’t really a good metric to judge anything by, since standalone they are terribly inefficient “bosses”. They only become scary when a Horde ambush is in progress.
Especially Beast of Nurgle.
A great deal of weapons can make quick work of BoN when you target the weakspot on the back.
Zealot knife stealth backstabbs can one hit for instance. Magdumping bolter shots and hitting them all also melts Beast of Nurgle.
Beast of Nurgle in general is kind of a wuss.
Guess it was vet’s turn to get his very own thammer. Has anyone checked to see what kind of numbers it does on an MF + rending strikes build?
Untill it catches you in a chokepoint while being hit by a horde, and multiple specials and elites.
Which is what I just said. They’re not supposed to be standalone bosses, so they’re a terrible metric to judge weapon performance by. :3
It’t pretty good on Fury zealot also. Initially people complained about accuracy, but I’m killing snipers at 40, even 60 meters.
I have no Reddit account to verify my age (right…), but I assume this might have something to do with Weapon Specialist 100% crit chance and Hand Cannon?
That’s not the weapon that’s overtuned but the Vet.
Regardless there are plenty of ways to fast kill a monster.
Can we please stop posting things in the Psykarium as if they were the gospel?
There are so many parameters in an actual game, that this is an edgecase 99% of the community won’t ever achieve.
Holy Throne the damage though. That’s some s*xy stuff

Pssssssttt. It’s much more of a Bardin masterwork pistol port than brace of pistols.
Iam not sure whats supposed to be OP on the Pina revolver. The reddit clip of it deleting a spawn is just ridiculous. There is no way anyone puts five bullets into that filthy rubber ball during a mission.
The Zarona hardly got touched in the latest patch. It still cleaves through a yes amount of targets. It still one hits all the specials and two hits elites. It just doesnt kill crushers as fast.
The cleave of the Zarona alone makes it stand out in Auric. Even with the Pinas faster reload speed, the Zarona deletes the usual elite clusters much faster and easier than the Pina. The fire rate makes it possible to just kill whats between you and the special you want to kill, but that still takes much longer than just yeeting one fist sized Zarona bullet into its direction.
The minor plus of Zarona being able to shoot through team mates is also missing with the Pina.
All I see atm is a new toy to play with. Nothing earth shattering.
