The incremental nerfs to their behavior have made them really boring and way to easy to avoid. The mutant is basically touching you and doenst grab and the dog can be pushed from 10m away. It makes no sense at all. Bring back the launch behavior where they were actually a threat and it was rewarding and fun to play around them.
This is not a good idea in a game where many things depend on latency. Dogs before were very hard to dodge even if you had done everything properly. Mutants are very tanky and making them hard to dodge is also a bad idea. Special enemies should not be difficult if you pay attention and eliminate them fast, they are more of an environmental hazard.
If you think this is wrong then look at B4B specials that are Tanky or hard to distinguish from other enemies or themself.
Every time I push a dog successfully from like 5x my weapon length away I just giggle to myself. I think the dogs are just scared by the suggestion of a push and naturally recoil in horror. Honestly I never thought they were that bad and I’m on Australian internet. I don’t think it’s a pressing issue but I agree too many disablers have been neutered too hard.
